'Allardyce publicly pressures board into signing desperately-needed players' is what all those headlines really mean.

As I put on the other thread I would think that having BFS as our manager and the way he keeps on about the players being crap and not good enough has something to do with a lot of new players steering clear of joining us. If he kept quiet and stopped slagging and spreading doom and gloom and did what managers are meant to do and that is install some confidence and passion into the players and make them play like a team. Our players must be feeling really low with the way BFS keeps telling them they are sh1te. I do not think that helps in any way whatsoever and he needs to change the record IMO and stop bl00dy moaning !!
We shall have to wait and see wont we?

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

I tell you what even if he is not demoralising he is certainly demoralising the fans. Since BFS has come all positivity appears to have gone. No more talk of winning only keeping clean sheets. He has got to up his game in all areas he is no different to the players in this respect.

Yes, but he is telling them and us the truth, the team built by AP is not good enough for this league and the only way that can change is if we can get better players to come in, not easy given our position. Lets face it Pardew spent 52mil on new players in the summer transfer window and frankly not one of them has proved to be worth what we payed for them and more importantly if we go down we are unlikely to ever get our investment back. I still believe as much good as SP has done for this club, he is implicit in the current situation because he allowed his heart to rule his head and gave AP a new extended contract when he should have fired him based on the performance in the 2nd half of last season.

As far as I'm concerned it's about time the club and the fans are speaking the same things. Pardew had it wrong from the beginning of 2016. It's now the first month in 2017 and now I'm hearing what a lot of us was saying about this team of ours. SA is saying we aren't good enough and that it will take time to turn it around. If only we had him at the start of the season. It's going to go to the wire and we may still go down. That was a definite with Pardew, but now we have a chance? I'm all for SA saying how it is.

It looks like BFS has to play the season out with the players he has now due to NO-ONE wanting to come to us so instead of slagging the players off install some passion and pride in the team and get them playing like a team instead of a miserable looking rabble. We must stop blaming AP and SP for the trouble we are in. We have a new manager that has to get the best out of what he has instead of trying to buy his way out of trouble like AP did. It ain't gonna happen I am afraid and BFS needs to roll his sleeves up as he has his own training team around him and get the team going and getting some results. I am fed up with all the blame being put on SP as he has come clean and told us all why he delayed the sacking of AP. Give him credit for doing it in the end. He got BFS in to do a job and instead BFS is just moaning and groaning on what a cr@p team he has to work with. He new what he had to work with when he signed up and probably got a really good contract with bonuses. If he cannot do it then he can go and do a running jump. There were many fans on here wanted BFS and you have him let us see him do a job....IF he can.

Yes of course we should look forward rather than back, but we must also acknowledge that the job is more difficult because Sam was expecting some action in transfer window and that is looking less likely as the window will soon close down. As for SP he is the boss and a bad decision, whatever the reason is a bad decision, like it or not SP will be partly to blame if we lose our PL status. Sam has got to try and make a silk purse from a sow's ear!

BFS took the job with a very nice paypacket and he new the squad he inherited. Forget about the window and buying in a whole new team as that was NEVER going to happen and he knew it and in his own words " The window is a load of expensive rubbish with over paying for both players and agents. If the truth be known the players he wanted did not want to come to us as he is not the most pleasant manager to work for. He slags off his players to the press and media and that is a thing he should never ever do. By all means tell the players in the changing room but openly to the world.
He has the players to keep us up if he uses them wisely and in the RIGHT positions and also picks the right team for each match even with injuries which all teams get throughout the season. We have some decent players who WILL keep us up if they are treated fairly not told they are sh1te.

Sorry we will have to disagree, this team as it is, does not have the quality and will sadly probably not survive in this league, thanks to
AP and his bad buy's

I feel that Sam is suffering from a very low morale after the debacle of his England sacking, and he is passing this to team and supporters. Lookin at his press conference demeanor he is either totally disinterested or still in shock. We have employed him too soon he is not capable of even etting the dead cat bounce, normal after a manager first starts. He has turned a team leaking goals, and scoring goals to a scared unadventurous body of players leaking more goals and unable to score. He will maybe feel btter when he is tasked with bouncing back from the Championship, fingers crossed

Good on him putting pressure on Beaky to bring in his targets. Don't take his excuses, Sam.
