Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

When is Wilf back from AFCON? It must have been considered get Schlupp in, play him left wing Townsnoend product on the right until Wilf gets back and as long as Newcastle want him and he hasn't a long term injury then do the deal with a day or 3 before the window closes so we can use the money. We never intended to have 3 wingers earning £130k+ per week between them and say no to up to £30mil for Bolasie then so I don't see why we would keep £6-£8mil or whatever when we need it to fill other areas after using £12mil of the alleged £20mil we have to play with (although I think we're playing down the actual figure so we don't get fleeced).

I'd much rather he went to Sunderland, maybe in a swap deal with van Aanholt. Not only would it weaken both their squad and team morale, it would also wind up the Geordies no end.

I thought "Dross" was probably our best player tonight. Looked Lacey and full of running. One assist and probably should of had more. Mind you he was the best of a poor bunch. Sooner Wilf's back the better.

Sooner Wilf's back the better. Quite wasteful in the final third, at least in the first half, or so it seemed from the radio, but work rate much better. Again from the radio it sounded as though there was some good stuff going on between him and Puncheon, switching the play, zat right? Edited by chateauferret (17 Jan 2017 11.26pm)

You really think Townsend is worth more then Brady? Would have Brady over him without thinking..... Originally posted by Midlands Eagle
I wonder how much they would be willing to pay for him as values seem to have changed a lot since the summer. If a Leicester reserve is worth £12m and a Championship winger from Norwich is worth the same surely Townsend must be worth more than we paid for him Edited by DutchEagleJohan (17 Jan 2017 11.51pm)

I just happened to think it might be a mildly amusing scenario if it panned out that way, nothing more. Maybe I should've used a little smiley face to show the comment was not meant to be taken that seriously.

Thought he played very well tonight, so well that I was sure Southgate was in the stadium somewhere as that's generally the only time he can be bothered.
