We spent £9m net in the summer. Hardly a war chest and majorly backed. More than Hull, Swansea and Sunderland all spent together. Just because Bolasie insisted on a move. We sold one, but brought in 5 all on high wages. So total spend is more than £9m. Just try and think it through!

I think he is, but not the only one.
And here lies a problem........not every decision that the board has made have been the correct ones; indeed as you would expect from time to time. It's the decision that wasn't taken is the key one and that is not to sack Pardew straight after the Cup Final. We are seeing those results now.

LOL We're embarrassing ourselves and should just go quietly whilst closing the door on our way out!!! Get back to our usual level, regroup and try and get back again. We need some team spirit back and momentum as let's face it that's been the key attribute in keeping us up over the last 3 season. We're running on empty now ...

Blaming the board is unfair too. They've done a terrific job in recent years but been found out themselves as they were leaning along the way! We've all been punching above our weight in recent seasons and you'll only get so far doing that! None of what's happening now surprises me ... We're Palace FFS

I had hope that Parish and the others might have learned what both you and I have learned from following Palace for the same length of time all of us: We are sh1t at buying big transfer players but very good at buying cheaper ones with fight. And that we are generally sh1t at appointing managers that aren't young and hungry. What do you reckon Kaos? Shall we offer to run the club for free and show them how it is done?

I live in Beckenham now so right by the training ground and not far from Selhurst ... so works for me! I can then get a dog and bring it to work with me! Might even give him a game too ... cant do any worse than some of our players eh! On a serious note, you're right mate! Big signings fail at Palace ... always have! As I said to my mate today, when the Cabaye's, Townsends & Bentekes get to the training ground, Selhurst and negotiate the surrounding area of Norwood Junction & Croydon ... I bet their arseholes go! They must think ... WTF am I doing here! Sad but true. Until we start investing big style in our infrastructure then we'll remain on this merry go round. 4 years in the top flight and a cup final ... I'd of taken that all day long a few years back so a.bit bemused why do many on here are losing it about things. Time for us to go and get back to doing what we do best ... and hopefully the Yanks will see the potential in the club and start investing. I think this our real challenge currently ...

You say "on a serious note", so I presume you really believe it when you imply that highly rated players underperform at our club because of the character of the surrounding areas. I'm not saying you're wrong, but it is - to say the least - an unusual theory, on which you might write a learned paper.

I stated 3 factors - the surrounding area being one - that contribute to these 'starlets' underwhelming attitude and performances. Takes a certain type of player who overlooks these things. Namely players with hunger and a point to prove. Sadly most players earning silly money view the world from a very different portal ... money does things to people!

You know what - i wasn't bothered about relegation a while back because I thought what with Parish being the owner and £600,000,000 passing through the accounts at least we would have a wonderful ground and whip-smart academy for the future. At least in the past when we went down we did so pretty much cashless. CPFC2010? Thanks for saving the club. Big thanks indeed but what about the legacy and all that money? Arthur Wait? Now that was a chairman and Palace man.

I stood on the Holmesdale last Christmas 2015 and said to a few blokes around me Pardew was a chancer, they laughed. Well he was a fecking chancer and this is the result. I thought he should of been sacked then, last Christmas 2015. I haven't got a season ticket now can't afford it on a pension, maybe I'm the lucky one. Really pi55es me off what Pardew has been allowed to do to my club.
