The problems Palace have are far deeper rooted than the manager, and have been largely glossed over because we were scoring goals. The problem is we were frightful at the back. As I have said before I did not want Sam as his record is no better than AP's, but just as AP was given time, so should Sam be given time to get his message across. AP was given a cup run and another six months despite awful results. I think it is reasonable to give Sam until the summer at least. He also has a good record in the Championship, should we get relegated. Edited by NickinOX (15 Jan 2017 1.18am)

New managers at flailing clubs are supposed to improve situations. He is talking sense. You are talking about something in half a dozen games. i.e- sh1t. You are, as usual, talking like you want him to fail. The situation is sh1t, the form the s sh1t, but there is financial room and managerial experience to sort it out so I suggest you drag yourself out of this depressive state and don't drag those of the fragile mind attending games into a similar state of mind. Thank you.

Evra? As in Patrice Evra?;That would be very handy. Would iron out many creases in a very crumpled defence.

Pardew was axed on 22 December so Sam has had 3 weeks. One week of that was Christmas and NY. Let's give the guy a chance!

Still have a window to replace the players. Sam hasn't had nearly enough time. Back to back wins will change our season. Schlupp will hopefully come in to the first team firing. Remy is a quality player, Cabaye actually looked quality and was working harder than anyone else today. A couple more signings to fix the defence and hopefully Zaha back ASAP and things will look up. I feel s*** right now and this is the most scared I have been for relegation since we have come up, but we are halfway through the season and not even in the bottom three. We don't have to be good. We just have to be equally as poor as those below us.
Exactly! Although it is hard to believe we will stay up this season, the one thing that does keep my faith is the fact we have done so poor and have managed to keep above the relegation zone which although it doesn't seem like much to a lot of people it is something of a confidence boost to me about us staying up, that being said the players really need a kick up the arse and need to sort themselves out because we can't just bank on the others 3 in the drop zone doing worse than us to be 100% safe.

For survival a point is requiered per game. Under Pardew we had 0.9 points per game in other words 1 win short. Under BFS we have 0.25 per game we now need 1.22 points per game. Not impossible but a tall order. The only saving grace is the teams around us are also very poor. Did the board pull the trigger to early or to late? BBC predictor this week had us at 36 points finishing 17th. Would be surprised if any of the bottom 4 got over 40 points. Presently can't see us finishing above 17th. Next 3 games we have to pick up some points, Everton home usually do well against them, Bournemouth away who knows ? with their up and down form, Sunderland home huge. 4 points minimum. With hindsight Pardew should have been canned after the cup final. Clubs like Southampton pull the trigger early rather than late.
