Damo told the SLP after the game that he thinks we are now in a relegation scrap. Has he lnly just realised?

Absolute madness. Cabaye was one of our better players last night. Apart from a few stray passes he was one of the few players with any energy or hunger. If we want to stay up then selling our best players is not the way to do it. He needs to be a bit more consistent but overall has played well the last couple of months.

What needs addressing is the absolute lack of movement up the top of the pitch.
whenever a player got the ball at the back or in front of the back four, he was faced with 6 or 7 statues in front, all marked. We constantly had to pass sideways and backwards due to a lack of options. Swansea on the other hand showed good movement and interplay for most of the game and I thought Llorente looked very good.

This ...and not just up front. The movement all over the pitch is non-existent....players stand there marked expecting the ball to be passed to them. Others pass the ball and just stand there. Another case of fitness levels?

Well if he has played well , it's not doing much for us is it ?
Cabaye has passed backwards and sideways since he has been here hence his high passing accuracy stats, it slows us down . If he does pass long it is usually in front of the defence , and if passing short forward up the pitch it is invariably intercepted, hence his lack of assists. Is it still just one since he has been here?
Anyway as said we someone who can have a positive impact on the team, a Jedinak type would be good.

I think Cabaye moves the ball pretty quickly, but there is such a lack of options, unless Wilf or Benteke come short, there isn't really anywhere else to go apart from sideways or backwards.

We desperately need that number 10 who can link with Cabaye, the wide men and Benteke. There is no one to play 'between the lines'.

Flamini may fill the holding role, but we don't have anyone who can play that attacking position.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

Well if DD only just realises we are in a relegation scrap and Big Sam admits it is a tougher job than he thought we must be going in the right direction..????
Absolutely no movement up front until Campbell came on and absolute nonsense to blame 2 games in 2 days for that lack of movement...Do they only get fatigued after matches??? Then what is Training all about???
Big Sam should send somebody to sit in the Holmesdale Upper and they will soon see the statues in front of the back four. Even if they were to pull defenders away by walking it would be an improvement!!!
