Results speak for themselves. The only game we've won in weeks was where the opposition's keeper had a howler of a game. Pardew "hugging" is not going to save the day whereas some new blood and tactical nous might.

Agree with this.

I watched the team warm-up and our so called coaches were poor. Here is a football..kick it! Nobody quite sure what was going on. Our kit man 'smirking' like a school boy at half time...WTF...

Not just new blood on the pitch, but also off it as well. A new backroom team is needed...perhaps Sammy Lee may be tempted to join Big Sam?

After the FA Cup final the Manager of the team who won was sacked - the losing team kept their Manager.
This despite the fact that he had managed 11 points in the League in 19 games!
Alan Pardew should have been sacked then - "thanks for the cup run Alan but the rest of it has been awful"!
CPFC2010 made their biggest error right then.
AP systematically tore the guts out of CPFC during his tenure and we now see the results of that.
No spirit, no "Team" - just some players who earn money.
Yes I expected SA to have an effect and I am surprised he hasn't managed to galvanise the team better but the blame for this mess lays at one man's door and one man only.

You can't just pick and chose whoever you want, and a manager certainly can't spend as much as he wants, he was restricted by the budget. There were quite a few players we wanted that we didn't get (Macarthy, Wilshire etc.)

From memory Wilshere only became available a couple of days before the transfer window closed and whoever was picking targets, whether it be Pardew or Parish why were we so keen to raid QPR's reserves?

I'm not! Did you see he only came out of the dugout for the last 10 mins of the match. If Pardew had have done that he woud have been slaughtered on here. Fat Sams interview after the game demotivated me straight away.

Said it at the time, sacking Pardew for Allardyce was a backwards move. Pardew said at the start of the season that it would be a 'transitional' season in terms of our style of play and our league position would suffer as a result.

I didn't see the game yesterday but from everything I've read, it sounds like we were dire. The first half against Arsenal was the worst I've seen us play in about 3 seasons. We are now undoing all of Pardews progressive work to revert back to a organised defensively, long ball team (not working so far).

The performances under Pardew were generally good. The results were not a fair reflection. I was confident of a mid table finish under Pardew as the results and luck were due a change. I still don't believe we will go down but suddenly feel a lot less confident after the dross served up over the last two games.

On the plus side, at least it's exciting being down the bottom. Better than boring mid table finishes.

To say the team had "no spirit" is highly inaccurate in my opinion. Although we didn't win all the games, we came from 2 goals behind away at Swansea, away at Burnley, away at Sunderland. Got ahead from behind at Hull, came from behind to equalise vs Man City. The spirit was excellent if anything.

Something was wrong, perhaps nerves/confidence but certainly wasn't spirit. The team battled hard for Pardew and he clearly hadn't lost the dressing room like some suggest. He was Palace man and cared, Allardyce has no love for Palace, just another pay cheque.

Season 3: Not once in the relegation zone. You can twist things by talking about 2016 results but the season is August to June not Jan to December.

6 wins in 42. Didn't know denial was an Egyptian river *mic drop*

At least there is one thing that is indisputable and can all agree on:

We definitely played better with the losing streak under Pardew than we have under BFS so far even if only 3 games in.

That 1-1 vs watford would have been another loss under Pardew..

Everybody with the benefit of hindsight is blaming Pardew for not getting in a wing back, but who knew Soure would get injured like this? and where would this extra money come from exactly? We broke the bank and got in players for the most urgent positions, pretty much everybody agreed on that at the time.
We desperately needed a striker, we needed a CB, we needed somebody to fill Bolasie's position. That was it, we got the most urgent requirements, and there was no money left.

If you really want to go back, how come these same players we have now had the our best Premier League placing ever, and got to the FA Cup final.
I really don't think transfers are to blame for our current situation.

Edited by JonJon Blazino (04 Jan 2017 3.02am)

There was money left. At least £20 mil. That's how much Sam has now plus sales. We bid £8mil or so for Rincon and a lot more for James Macarthy and don't excuse for 1 minute having 6 defenders plus Fryers, 1 of only 2 left backs. That is a fackin joke. Souare could've got injured on the pitch in the next game for all we know and been out for 3 months. Happened before didn't it? MacArthur, Boladie? Nah can't happen again.

Pardew is a jumpers for goalposts, school summer holiday, last goal wins chancer and we were going southwards. His management was slipshod. Every detail left unlooked at.

You can blame the Townsend fiasco on Pardew. The few transfers we were short on on Pardew and possibly parish. And you can certainly blame all of the coaching, management, match prep and game management on Pardew. Who the f*** else is responsible?

One of the biggest mistakes was crucifying Kelly at left back for 6-8 games when we ALL know award is better filling in there. And that's after only having Fryers as our backup left footed full back who he never intended to play anyway. An 'oh it'll be alright' chancer and gambler.
