I slightly get the impression that Sam may have demoralised rather than inspired the players.

It won't have helped that, on arrival, he described them as having the mentality of "losers"

For the first time in a few years, some fans have turned really toxic and lashed out at the players.

Right now, I guess the atmosphere is not good, and some stalwart players may be looking for a Palace exit.

Anyone know how to turn round the situation?

This team has been disintegrating for a year. Pards sucked the spirit out of it and now we're reaping what was sowed.

Give Sam a chance, there are so many arses to be kicked. Also many injuries to be recovered from. Players to be bought and crap to be sold.

Things will improve.

As bad as it was tonight and my goodness it was bad, I agree with your comments. SA said it himself a few days back that we may not see improvements until Feb/March - Pardew took us so far backwards that it's going to take time to turn it around. I just hope we can do it in time?

Only big difference being that when Alan came in, we were losing and losing..do you remember..perhaps not..but we were..then guess what, Alan came and we ..won and won..

We should have stayed with him giving our FULL backing, but no..lets hit the panic button..Alan, no matter what you say, was putting us right..It takes time..but people want instant results..so you get your wish, and now.. we are in a mess, no mistake about that.

Now 'Sam the Sham' is here..and what..we, out of 3 games haven't won ! I fully expect you will scream that Alan has doomed us...bull.. there is more then half the season left..is 'Sam the Sham' the 'savor' for us ?

I don't think so..but time will tell..

Now, the players I think are NOT happy, with the switch, as once more, it's all being turned around again..

True, some of them didn't like Alan perhaps, because he took away their toys, and they couldn't get their own way..I don't have to name them, as we have all seen a remarkable improvement in those individuals playing..

I fully expect the coach's to get the mighty heave, and 'Sam' to bring his best mate from Leicester, and who ever else he wants..lets just wait. Unless of course he was telling the guy sitting next to him at the game to warm up the car, because 'we are out of here'...

I honestly can't remember a worse performance than tonight under Pardew, which is impressive to say the least!

I'm of the opinion that Pardew should've been given more time. We've had terrible luck with injuries this season and I'm not particularly inspired by Allardyce's appointment.

However, one thing I will credit him with is his honesty in the post-match press conference. I do believe we'll somehow come away with a win at West Ham, but for the first time this season I'm concerned for our PL safety.

I've already said this is Pardew's mess. It's going to take Allardyce a while to sort out.

We desperately need a few new signings bringing in & quickly too, not left until the last day of the transfer window.

Need a few going into the championship as well clearly not good enough.

The team lacks confidence and no amount of chat by AP or SA can replace that, it takes wins. If we can just get one game without a poor game changing decision going against us it will give us a chance to get a win, but right now the players must feel jinxed every time they go back into the changing room. Forster gave us the lift against Southampton and we need more right now to grind out results.
Turning against Sam is ridiculous, he needs time to get his way across. Don't believe the team has been damaged at all by AP personally, but his disastrous 2016 has hurt them and the fight is draining out of them with each knock back.
Sam said 2 or 3 signings. I say 4 or 5 and all must be starters.

BFS took over a team with a lot of bad luck, must have figured he only had to turn up for the luck to change. Well it has'nt he has no strategy complaining about a thin squad does not wash, the squad is not thin but it does have a massive injury problem. He has not helped by playing a now dispirited rudderless team and making uninspired selections and substitutions. He has rabbed the cash and sits there getting fatter

So Alan was putting us right with 6 wins in 42 games over a 12 month period.... Wow.

People hammering him already, only been in the job a few days, benteke puts that penalty away against watford,we get three points and our new manager is off to a winning start, suddenly everything would of been a lot more brighter and positive, we got such a depleted squad it's unreal. What he should of done was played a weaker side against arsenal, there was no chance of getting anything there, tonight was the won, but the players let him down. Not really a fan of Sam A but glad we got him now, as we are in the s***.

Do people seriously expect him to turn things around in 12 days? During which time we've had 3 games, so probably only had 3 or 4 training sessions!
Get a grip guys. Those who are saying Pardew should not have gone have obviously not seen a single game in 2016, nor have they kept up with our results.
