LB : Charlie Taylor, Ben Davies, George Friend. Listening to the Boro vs Leicester game Pat Nevin reckoned Friend was the best player on the pitch, came on after 20 mins.

In hindsight Cresswell would of been the ideal signing. Unfortunately we had Ollie's sweet shop policy of about 10 plus new players (where are they now ?). Double signing of Davies and Redmond would of been good as well.

Surely anything will be an anti climax after the previous window which was our greatest of all time !

The climax will be finally getting hold of a competent recognised left back

That must surely be the no. 1 priority! If this window is closed without a genuine proven left back I will be very disappointed!

Ntep ( pacy left midfielder
B.Davies (Quality player)
M.Sakho (Kloop is willing to send him out on loan if no transfer bids come in soon!)
J. Mccarthy ( surely we can put a bid in if Aston Villa is, he would be a good leader in midfield.)

Being realistic a good window would be Brady, snodgrass, Jenkins on (loan) and mcarthy. 4 players who are very solid squad players. Ship out Mutch, lee and fryers

B.Davies (Quality player)

Why?? Just because he plays for Tottenham? Kierna Gibbs is a quality substitute. Alberto Moreno is a quality substitute (winner of Europa League and best assister of Sevilla that year).

Why is Ben Davies a quality player??
Honest question

Charlie Taylor- haven't really watched him, can't really tell, but he hasn't exactly stormed the Championship like the best left ack. I'd go for others who are certainties. He could be good, but he's still a gamble

Ben Davies- really bad player who tricked football in Swansea and who Tottenham signed for a huge amount, making a grave mistake

George Friend- watched him and God he's slow. He's 29 years old, put on weight, is way past his prime, will retire in 2-3 years

Creswell.....well, that's just a dream. He'd cost waaay more than Palace would afford

We were rumoured to be after him when he was playing for Swansea but Spurs beat us to it by offering Sigurdsson to Swans.

Whatever happened to Tyrone Mings who was another that we were connected to by rumour as although he was injured for a year he has now recovered but not back in favour at Bournemouth

Sakho from Liverpool would be a no brainer, he would be class for a club our size, a loan with a buy option? Big Ben could give him a ring for us!

Based on what's looking likely:

LB/LM Cover - Brady - £12m
LM - Downing - Loan
CB - Sakho - £??m

I think that would do us wouldn't it? A striker would be good too, but Remy + Benteke + Campbell would do me.

How many loans are we allowed? I thought it was 1. Is it 2?

We've already loaned in Remy.
