Terrible referee incompetent & inconsistent everytime I've seen him ref. I've seen better standards of refereeing in local amateur Sunday football games. I wouldn't necessarily say he's incompetent on purpose it isn't done with practice just natural. Total and utter codswallop in my book.

He also went on to say ""People will say that's not the referee's job but referees can help and allow the game to move a little bit quicker than normal. That's my satisfaction: if you get a really good game of football." I can see exactly where he is coming from. You hear people say that they hardly noticed the referee and that is a good referee - this is probably a referee who doesn't blow up for every minor foul and let's the game flow.Game and man management allied to enforcement of the laws.
When Clattenturd refs, everyone knows about it. Nothing inconspicuous about him

If you saw Clattenburg referee a game the other day you would have been impressed by the brilliant advantages he played. This is certainly not the first time I have seen him do it.In the interests of balance I have also seen other referees this season play terrific advantages. Well they were hardly good goal scoring opportunities, denial of a penalty or perfectly good goal ruled out. This where you are wrong. For the first, Wickham it was definitely a goal scoring opportunity, only you and your hero thought otherwise. The second less clear but still a good opportunity

In all the terrific advantages I have seen the ball has broken to team-mates who had good chances of mounting a very promising attack. In both the incidents in the FA Cup Final this wasn't the case. Anyway Clattenburg has been very honest in his assessment so give him some credit for this. Edited by Willo (30 Dec 2016 4.31pm)

Trying to get Willo admit he was wrong is like arguing with a lawyer. He justified Clattenburg's cup final decisions at the time and now that Clattenburg has admitted he made a mistake, Willo is left high and dry - except that he can't admit it.

Now do me a favour Trolley and stop replying to me. You clearly don't support Palace and just want to wind people up. Edited by Y Ddraig Goch (30 Dec 2016 4.34pm)

Edited by Y Ddraig Goch (30 Dec 2016 4.34pm) I have supported Palace since the 60s, and I might be a number of things but what I am NOT is a "Wind up merchant". As for Wickham being "One on one", the whistle had gone the defender stopped and the goalkeeper also stopped as he had heard the whistle.
