Who ever takes a penalty at least one player should follow up and get any rebound , They just did not move, I think that was worse than the bad penalty .

Presumably he can hit a ball hard and accurately therefore he should be able to put it where the keeper can't get to it in time whether he guesses correctly or not. The technique he's using just now is easily dealt with: the keeper jsut stays put whilst he fartarses about before hitting the ball.

Whom else have we got? Cabaye has a history of fluffing penalties. Puncheon for putting them in Row Z. Townsend probably try to be a wise guy as well. Campbell has that issue with banjos and cows' arses. Wilf?

I thought Cabaye had a fairly good record with penalties?

Scored 16 out of 18. Surely that's a good return?

Benteke on is 11 with 5 misses!!

Cayabe is missing one in nine and Benteke is missing one in three.

This should not even be a discussion.

Cayabe is back on penalties, surely ???

In training Hennessey is a brilliant penalty taker but alas we cannot afford to have our keeper take a penalty which is saved and then the opposition break away !!!!

But Cabaye bottled his last two, against Newcastle and against Bournemouth. That suggests to me that he might have been good at it once but has now lost it, maybe teporarily.

We are out of the cup if we get taken to penalties so lots of folk need to be practicing the things.

And his penalty against Reading in the Cup last season didn't deserve a goal.

Yes and his name is Glen Murray! His penalty v. QPR just now was a model of how it should be done, the keeper didn't move.

Benteke's effort on Monday was crap.

When the pressure is on during a match we are in dire need of a a reliable penalty taker having them saved is costing us dear.

Jedinak was one such character we now need another how about Jimmy Mac, Joel Ward, Wilf, Andros or Punch? All got good shots on them.

So he missed two penalties, his stats show he's very good at pens and yet people over look that becuase he missed two.

If Aguero misses two pens back to back do you think he'd all of a sudden forgotten where the goal is? s*** happens but he's got pedigree at pens and as far as I can see Benteke hasn't.

Stats say hes by far a better penalty taker than Benteke.

Not sure why so many people seem to think he shouldn't be taking them.

Wilf is your man or MacArthur

Have we sacked the tw..t of a goal keeping coach yet?

He would be challenging BFS for the greggs pies..!

Who is Benteke practising against re pens ? Not sure Hennessy is that great a pen stopper of course Jules was back in the day..!

I know it's unsporting but two seasons ago we won so many pens and scored there needs to be more emphasis on this and taking our time in choosing who to take them etc Benteke was puffed out and clearly not settled prior to taking that pen if you gonna pull that trick you need to be calm centred and in control to unsettle the keeper...surely

Sam is great at prep so I have faith that this will be well sorted by the we visit the ass at 'The library'

Our penalty taking has been awful and is one of the reasons we are in a relegation battle. League average is 87% and we are at 40%.
