Bring on 2017. The last few months have been an uncomfortable and depressing experience. As uncomfortable as Parish and Brighty must've felt with the cringeworthy schmoozing, &rse licking thumbs up that was probably days before or after the Southampton match itself. Edited by Rudi Hedman (24 Dec 2016 4.26pm) Very funny ..we are actually planning something along the lines of the twenty first minute whilst wearing boxing gloves, you have been warned.

You're really silly. ..I doubt very much he could do that whilst being on a beach in Marbella, I'll just have to spend Christmas with a bowl of pea soup and crying my eyes out on my own

Looking forward to the game on Monday which is something I haven't done for a few weeks. Just feel so much more relaxed with Big Sam at the helm.

Get us to the cup final again Sam & I'll be happy. You know it'll be Utd again but third time lucky! My poor old Dad was so sad last year & sent me a text saying "in tears in Montenegro." Feel so sorry for him after all these years of not winning anything! We can do it now, why not?

I've got exactly the same feeling as when Pulis took over. 100% confident we will be in the premiership next season. No the football won't be as exciting as under Pardew, but at the moment, who cares? We've had 6 wins in 2016 hopefully will be 7 on boxing day. Actually, I think it will be just as exciting only more beneficial (more points). Happy Christmas All!

Big Sam is reknown for data, his staff walking around with laptops, tapping in figures but..... From his start in management.. best win ratio was 42% but, that was back in 94-96 His later figures run an average of 32% Sunderland figures, for 31 games a win ratio of 29% 9 eins from 31 games. Dial in the changing tactics and the comprehensive use of yalents, Big Sam's data does not bode well. It's more a "Last Chance Saloon" tactics when planning long term and the associated security would be the better option. Hopefully, with the New Americansm comes a forward thinking and planning for the future, Hopefully

He achieved those results with teams that were doing WORSE and were going DOWN. He'll do better at Palace (can't do any worse!), and BTW, those ratios probably keep us up.

And if we go down, no doubt it will be be Pardew's fault. But that's ok, "Hey! We got a fantastic bloke in, he's never been relegated!" (But we still might.) And we will play $hite football too. But that's ok too. What happened to the *next level* $hite spouted by many on here last year? We just went backwards to stay in this league. Progress means change. We haven't done that with this appointment. It's the same old $hite now. This manager is a class A dodgy dealer. He is still likely to face FA charges. That will reflect on our club, but you all seem to see that as fine. I don't. I never want him near our club, let alone managing it, regardless of his ability. The man is toxic.
