Bringing in Sam is hitting the prem panic button, of that there is no doubt but I'd rather yo-yo for a few seasons and keep a good football philosphy and keep a good focus on the youth No one wants relegation but because of the money it's always only about the short term, staying up and getting the cash. That may be what the board want but is that what you as a fan are content with? It's Christmas Day and we're typing on HOL - now that's sad.

What type of supporter really wants us going down??? And then what? When we're in the Championship? Aim for a position just short of the play-offs??? How daft? How sad? 5 more years in the PL and we will have realised our dreams going back a century. How disgustingly disrespectful to all those thousands of CPFC fans' support and dreams down through the years? Are you kidding me? There are sad people who just don't want change at all. Train-spotters. Their solace is in the hum-drum security of just another same old day. It is so psychologically enlightening to read some comments on these boards!

i think the crux of the situation is, is that not many wouldav said a few months ago that they wanted wanted big f***ing crooked ballbag sam as manager but most fans have decided that potentially sucking on the titties of the PL cash cow for another season is a risk worth taking...hes now more qualified to keep us up than pards was. nobody could successfully argue that bfcbs was a better option than pardew before he was sacked so they just agree hes a great choice. hes not an upgrade, he will just get a similar amount of points in a far worse way. but hey...the grass is alway greener? right?

Bullsh1t. Give me suit and make me manager of any of the top 4 and I'll look a f$cking legend. It's managers like BFS who get the sh1te squads and actually IMPROVE things that get my respect. Not so-called 'Super Al' who was given everything and still managed to screw it all. Long Live Big Sam I say!

...... and yet the gates at West Brom are falling and fans unhappy. Getting points is clearly a priority - but there has to be entertainment as well. Pulis is not great at the latter - hence his dismissal by Stoke and current disquiet at the Hawthorns. I look forward to whether Palace will also entertain. Staying up this season might be good enough from Big Sam, but it is not necessarily moving us forward. Southampton show that it can be done. Originally posted by aashman12
Like West brom sitting pretty in the top half. Jog on pal and get behind the team

Englands loss our gain IMO. The last three managers aren't exactly Mother Theresa. Pardew's so called expansive football was rubbish particularly at home.

Edited by Rudi Hedman (24 Dec 2016 4.30pm) ..no, I was pointing out with this link how difficult it is to get back into the premiership because the link is only dated up to 2014, it does not include Burnley and I only mentioned Newcastle because they are top, you need to stop your assumption of me and your assumption with palace being doooooooomed because I only ever wanted the best for our club like you and nothing can ever been proved with regarding us being relegated with the deceased.

The link you provided is evidence, that you want to avoid relegation at all costs, as it sends the majority of teams into the abyss. No, the link does not mention Burnley because it is dated before they went down, I was actually agreeing that going down was not a good thing in regards to this piece of evidence, also I shall repeat ..that we will never know whether we would have gone down with Mr Pardew as he was killed well before the season was any where near the end.
