We played well today so you're timings poor. If you can't see a difference between now and the Liverpool game them I don't blame parish for ignoring you as will most fans.

It's not about one performance, it's been a year of poor form with the odd win here and there.

Yes he doesn't agree with me... The pressure is on Parish, because as it stands the Americans want him gone as well as a lot of fans.

It's not like I'm asking much, average football and to be competitive in the prem. With Pardew we have been short of this for over a year. The in brigade will mention the FA cup final, I'd point to the fact that we need to look at the bigger picture and not focus on the odd okay performance.

People will mention today's performance, yes it was committed, but Hennesey kept the score respectable today just like he did against United.

Perhaps as early after the Watford game,we will fall into the bottom 3 and no chance of a point in the following game against Arsenal.
When exactly will we throw off our complacency and see the reality of our desperate situation and act.

Right watched Palace for nearly 50yrs now this is the best board, squad I have seen in all that time. So Alan has with the boards support took over when we were struggling to get a toe hold in the division and has gone on to respectable league places and an FA cup appearance.
I watched the Chelsea game with my arsenal supporting partner. As a 3rd party she was able to given balanced view which is: Palace play as a committed team together nobody was a passenger all were working for the cause including the crowd, manager, team that came up against a quicker more talented squad of players. Note nothing was laid against anyone. So please be aware we are not a rich club like Chelsea, man u,arsernal etc etc so please if you haven't got any constructive to say think long and hard before bleating we ain't no good and its all somebody else's fault because it isn't its just football.

Yeah we put in a committed performance against Chelsea, and United for that matter.

As for much of the rest, I've heard it all now, how can you say that we should think long and hard before bleating' and in the same post talk of your Arsenal supporting mates view based on seeing us against Chelsea like it is some sort of verdict.

You see many of us that are bleating are basing it on rather more than the last match? You may also find that we might have seen Palace play in most or all of those games over the past year, be loyal supporters who don't usually all sound off and stop supporting the team the moment we lose a game, and in fact actually have a point.

From one of the bleaters, oh by the way I have thought long and hard.

West Brom (7th) Bournemouth (10th) Stoke (11th) or Watford (12th) aren't rich clubs either and all have to stick to FFP rules yet they aren't being rolled over by the likes of Swansea.

Again with the obsession with meaningless platitudes and clichés from pre match pressers. He's asked about the opposition as Conté was about us, do you want him to blank them and talk bollocks about his own side instead? If anything happens in the field of football he's also asked his opinions about those as well. Bigging up our players in pressers would help no one.
As for Pardew himself, I want him replaced because of 2016, that's it. I don't have to make up bulls*** arguments to justify it 2016 does that for me. If he's arrogant I couldn't give a s***. Does he think he's untouchable, don't know, but I'm pretty sure he's not dumb enough to believe a goal from 26 years ago could save him?
As for Parish, he will sack him when he sees fit. Not soon enough for me, but it's his call and he's never shirked his responsibilities before, so I don't see it happening now.
The team are not even remotely looking like rabbits caught in headlights and that is probably in spite of him, not because of him.
Finally, as for Townsend he's playing badly, why is that the managers fault? If it is, surely he should be praised for Macca and Wilf being in the form of their lives?

Thanks, a rare, intelligent post.

His last two pre - match press conferences - he's been obsessed with bigging up the oppositions players / managers. Forget them for Christ sake. He should be worrying about our team, perhaps if he 'bigs' our players up, they might just believe in themselves, not playing like rabbits caught in the headlights. He's is dragging us into a certain relegation if he's left in charge into 2017. And finally - what on earth has he done to 'England's' Townsend - looks totally drained of any confidence, that free kick was possibility the worst effort, I've seen.

Very good post Simbo and with regards to Townsend you don't go from a consistently good performer as he was at Newcastle in a poor team I might add to a shadow of this now. Add to this his performances in an England shirt. IMO not being managed correctly or if anyone else has another view fire away.

My sentiments exactly. The arrogant man has clearly lost the dressing room and is just waiting to see who blinks first. Paying off Pardew will cost nothing compared to how much relegation back to the championship will cost. Anyone got Big Sam's number?

Good 1st half. Shyte 2nd half.

Pardew chucked a point away on Wednesday and some of the usual bellends on here thought we had more chance today of a point without a minute played compared to 86mins gone on Wednesday.

We have some utter morons supporting us and defending this shyte. But love is blind and these divs think supporting Palace and Pardew are mutually inclusive. Bunch of soppy tarts.

And you think that just insulting them will change their opinion?

I am still broadly supportive of AP.

I think we'll stay up, but it will likely be down to the wire. BUT - when hasn't supporting Palace been like that? Good runs, bad runs (admittedly 2016 has been particularly bad) and the highs and lows that football - and especially CPFC - bring.

We do, however, need as a minimum a proven left back and another striker up front with CB.

This year has been rubbish, no one can disagree about that. But that shouldn't trigger pardew out threads after a defeat against the potential champions, lose against Watford and that's it though because it's a game we should be able to get something from.

If you look at results over the course of 2016, it's hard to make a case for keeping Pardew in a job.

You can point to individual player errors ( especially this season ), bad refereeing decisions, and sheer bad luck throughout that time that are not his fault.

But his record in the transfer market isn't great. His tactics sometimes unfathomable including some bizarre substitutions.

I don't think he's '' lost the dressing room '' - the players seem committed enough. And for me that is the main cause for concern - he can't get any more out of this group of players. 4 points from a possible 30 is shocking.

Lose at Watford and I think it's time to dispense with him.
