Well I disagree with your opinion, our difficulties we are in at the moment are player and manager errors on the pitch. That's the problem,. in a nutshell, with Pardew - there are player errors on the pitch. That's his job to eradicate. God forfend but Pulis' players do not make many mstakes - why is that ?? Possibly because he's a damn good manager (& a charlatan)

Les Reed is their 'Director of football'. He has in-depth details of many coaches/managers in Europe and Claude Puel was chosen after 3 intense interviews. On the scouting front they have what they term the 'Black Box' and their player analysis is detailed and first class. The players they bring through is excellent.

I do think we need a football person but I don't think it should be a Director of Football and definitely not a former manager / coach, that brings all kinds of difficulties. I keep reading and hearing how much Pardew is doing for the club behind the scenes, implementing a PL structure. Someone else should be doing that, leaving him to manage the team. There is definitely a lack of football knowledge which is hopefully being rectified, as we often say, the scouting network seems invisible. SP is a good man and he should concentrate on developing the business and put a structure in place that reflects the growth of the club over the last few years This has to be in my humble opinion a proven football director of football matters who has the right contacts to attract the best coaching staff and players to CP. The current structure is not working because SP is much too close to AP and he sees him more as a close friend, consequently he is in danger of losing focus on the managers and teams performance (the stats which has said are not important are very much so!) which if not turned around soon will see us fast tracking back to the championship. I do think that any football director must have a good cv with proven success in top flight football and I also believe that AP or his successor should be in the DOF reporting structure.

I can't not believe my eyes when I see palace fans dogging on Parish. He saved the club and then transported us to our longest ever run in the prem. But no that's not good enough for some. Crazy!!!!
