Whether you like AP or not he definitely called it wrong tonight.
Gut feel is we could have hung on if he hadn't done those two late changes.

That was quite different. We were playing Hull and we were getting the ball up to the strikers reasonably well. Tonight we had no prospector servicing our strikers in the last ten minutes and it was all hands to the pumps at the back. You do not swap a top class midfielder for a second string striker in that situation.

Oh, and we were losing against Hull so had no point to throw away. Tonight it was 1 - 1.

But, nobody complained.

Don't you get it?

We were losing.

Tonight we had a good point.

That's the difference.

If Campbell had of scored in the last 2mins like Saturday, Pardews substitutions would have been fantastic. See, it's all fine lines. We are just having s***e luck with everything at the moment. Including bloody refs!!!!

I posted this same time as Painter, so sorry if repeat of point raised.

But what is the odds of that happening when you are being pressed back?

No point having one "masterstroke" like that if the other 99 times it goes wrong.

And let's be honest the run we are on you play percentages.

I agree with the Flamini comment, maybe, why not sub him at 60, not half time, but how many times do we concede a goal after a pointless sub? I' m sure it disturbs the team.

If he wanted to go for the win then why bring on Fryers instead of Townsend? When he brought on Fryers it looked like we were going for the draw. Fine, that's what you do trying to protect a draw.

Then he goes and brings Campell on for McArthur! Changing the system that was on course to secure a draw.

Pardew, if you're playing for the draw, then play for the draw!

How frustrating. I've backed him to the hilt so far and still believe he is the man for Palace. However, to take off a midfielder for a striker with 3 mins to go to try and win it was moronic.

A draw would have been a tremendous, well deserved result. We played so well tonight and that stupid substitution fcuked it for us.

Agreed, subs didn't make sense as they contradict what he was trying to get out of the match. I can understand the Fryers one, even though I thought Lee was looking good, but taking of McArthur for a forward was madness. Not saying we wouldn't of conceded but It didn't help the balance for which Fryers was giving the ball away constantly. I'm afraid it isn't going to get better under Pardew and I hope we have a replacement for him soon as it's going to take a while to turn the awful 2016 around?

Flamini was excellent. Subbing him was idiotic. He improved Cabaye's game immeasurably, silly sub. Lee worked his bollocks off, the Macarthur sub was f***ing stupid, and pointless, upset the team.

Unless he wasn't ,100% and had something like oh I don't know a right groin?

There's plenty to beat Pardew with, that isn't one of them

the dignified don't even enter in the game

If we "played so well tonight", why not give the manager some credit?

The substitutions had nothing to do with our defeat. Man U were far superior, and their quality eventually paid off.

Credit Pardew for getting a good performance out of our players.
