Absolutely, he also went over like he'd been brought down, and looked for the penalty. The only thing that was an accident was his assumption that Dann would make any contact. Plus, he got up, took the penalty and scored without a word to the referee etc. ..retrospective cheating should result in a rematch, there is no other way, players will soon understand that cheating will be picked up they will be punished for it and the game will be replayed, none of their team mates or opposition are going to want to replay anything including fans..so it will result in players owning up to cheating at the time to avoid a replay and ultimately wiping this stuff out.

I don't think that's viable, and the extra game is a massive burden on the aggrieved side. Something like video tech would be more viable than a rematch. The player, and the club involved need to take a 'real hit' to rule out this kind of thing.

A month for example for an offence like this, 2 months for the second one etc.

An FA panel would review video evidence and decide if the player as in this case dived to win a penalty which was converted. They would have the power to rescind the goal in addition to suspending the player for 6 months to 1 year. Had enough of this years ago just can't think of a way to keep the game flowing so think for the first time a goal could be rescinded after a match. A long suspension would significantly damage the player hopefully. I haven't seen a game for ages since watching DaCostas antics.

Would also say what example is the Hull manager setting here as his player has admitted what he did?

1) At the high speed the game is played you can't expect the ref always to spot it so every penalty decision should be reviewed on camera by 4th official like rugby or cricket.

Most of the retrospective punishments do nothing for the party most affected ie us. If snodgrass is banned it means Hull have lost their best player for next game, which may help a rival not us. Chalking off the goal will never happen as all our relegation rivals would appeal it. What about docking Hull 3 points? This would mean clubs themselves would try to do something about diving

Snodarse says in the paper today that hes no cheat and hes changed his ride the tackle story to he was just getting out of the way as he had a bad injury in the past. Ill be giving him some verbals when i see him on the pitch next time. W##ker
