From where I'm sitting, his movement needs a lot of work. Doesn't seem to anticipate anything or gamble on any crosses and just generally plods about. I agree. I think today I saw him get the ball from deep and run at the opposition for the first time in a Palace shirt. I keep remembering that performance and goal for Villa against us and wondering where that player is. He absolutely bullied us that day. Haven't seen him do that for us yet.

It's not his job to pick the ball up in midfield nor it is his job to defend - we have other players who are supposed to do that (not very well I admit) so he should not criticised for that. I think he is doing a great job of putting the ball in the back of the net and will be remembered as one our best strikers ever (I have been a fan since 1970 so please don't accuse me on not having heard of Wrighty etc).

he's doing terrific considering the way the team is set up. he needs to be in the box more, and with good service, he'll bang in even more. i honestly dont think he's a lone striker to be running the channels. against hull, half the time he was around the centre circle, in order to link up with the others. thats not his fault of course. just my opinion, but i think he can be lethal, in and around the area, not coming deep and running wide. play to his strengths. he can be the new murray.
a rich man is only a poor man with an obscene amount of money |

Jesus wept how are people complaining about him? Scoring goals and much better hold up play than we've had before. - 5th top goal scorer in the league If he keeps going at current rate will score 20 goals this season. If that's not good enough I don't know what is.

His movement is fine,if you were actually at the match last Saturday you would have noticed how much he contributed in general.Watching on the box you don't see the full picture, some people will never be happy. For a tall person his skill on the ground is pretty good and his ability to keep/win the ball in 50/50 situations isn't bad either,we just need him to play a bit further forward, but to do that we need that type of mid fielder which we do not seem to have at the moment.

If this were twitter it would be #nextlevel.

Yes, let's slam the guy who is scoring 0.62 goals a game (much higher than his 0.47 per game a Villa). Hmmm. Let's think about, if we had spent our money on some other big gun, we could have bought: Granit Xhaka for £35m (one goal) or, Benteke has as many goals this season as all of these elite players that cost £221m. But his movement looks like it could be better. Unbelievable.
