Hull are just as unpredictable us. Its whatever team turns up on the day. If the Palace from Southampton turn up, we could coast it. If the Palace from Swansea turn up, don't expect to return with even a point.

2-2 with Hull I agree that we have to get a win and secure the 3 points. Lose and the pressure wil really be mounting again on Pardew with realistically, very little return anticipated from the Man U, Chelsea games. The patience of the board may be seriously tested leading up to the new window ,if we fail to win.

I had remembered us once losing 6-1 away at Hull many years ago in the 60s. I decided to check the records and to my surprise (or even horror) it was on 10 December 1966 - 50 years ago to the day !!

What's more, after the match the manager said in his interview that he had a s***e team and that nothing was likely to improve until he had another transfer window. Bad omens indeed, we love complacently losing to poor teams such as Villa and Burnley, and 50 years to the day of our very own Maracanazo (ok, not exactly the same, but still) I think if the lads take nothing for granted we'll get a win, by a small margin.

I will take that as a good omen. 1-6 Palace. Benteke hat trick, Dann, Jimmy Mac, and Zaha getting the others. Oh, and a deflected own goal from a Snodgrass free kick.
