Also not being fans there was no discussion prompted by the hosts about abject AP disasters like Yaya Sanogo, Patrick Bamford, Emmanuel Adebayor, Alex McCarthy, Jordon Mutch, Loic Remy, Steve Mandanda etc. etc..... Some of those names are a bit unfair. Patrick Bamford was the leading goalscorer in the Championship and we all welcomed his signing on loan for the year as none of us forsaw the difficulty he would have in stepping up a grade. Loic Remy could well have been an inspired signing but you can't blame Pardew for the fact that he suffered injuries before he even kicked a ball in anger. Mandanda was another that everyone claimed was an excellent signing yet when it turns out that he wasn't quite as good as we all thought it now becomes Pardew's fault. I'm no fan of Pardew but some of the criticism is plain daft

Parish made a big deal about AP's win rate at the club being 44% However, what the presenters failed to pick up was the fact the vast majority of those wins were in his first 12m at the club. As AP's influence has infested the team and squad more and more the results have got worse and worse. also your saying Steve Mandanda was a disaster?

While the headlines published above are helpful for those who couldn't listen live, If you manage to catch the interview in full you get the full context. Parish gave a calm and reasonable appraisal of the situation and, as usual, in my opinion, came over as an excellent chairman who is also a fan. He did say Pardew's job is safe, but we know from previous years, if and when he feels change is necessary Parish will act. He has not achieved what he has in business and at CPFC without being prepared to make the hard decisions. I'm equally sure Pardew knows this!
There are many on here, looking to pick out pieces to fit their agendas to rubbish Parrish and Pardew. We are lucky to have a Chairman of his quality, but don't underestimate him, you don't get to that position without being ruthless when required.

Remy - injured twice whilst with us and 3 other times this year. why was he even considered as a loan player? absolutely no chance of him wearing a Palace shirt to play in unless someone buys him one for xmas. Waste of every penny. Agree tho regarding Mandanda, how anyone can say he's a disaster is beyond me .

A bit off topic but did anyone see Ian Wright on Good Morning Britain this morning? Piers Morgan was fawning all over him and asked him which football match he'd like to repeat. Wright started talking about the FA Cup Final and just as Piers was about to gush a bit more about Arsenal he said he was talking about the 1990 Cup Final for Palace! Wright basically wanted to re-write history and go back and win that final for Palace. Quite nice words really!

There were others I was going to add to the list, but maybe 'mediocre' would be a better heading. They include: Connor Wickham (so good we loaned-in Adebayor); Chungy (gets props for retaining the ball, but all he does is knock it backwards) Cabaye (surely £10m could have been spent better?) Jonathan Benteke (as a condition of his brother coming. Embarrassing).

J Benteke wasn't a condition of his brother coming and even if he was I'd have signed his whole family if that's what it took to get him here, finally we have a world class CF and you have to find holes in it? As for Cabaye, his last stint in the Premier league was brilliant, I'm pretty sure Pardew thought he'd be getting the same player back but it obviously hasn't quite worked out. Still he's a very good midfielder for our level of club and is nowhere near as bad as people are making out. Wickham has been unlucky with injury, still young and has scored some great and important goals. Is he the finished article? No. Does he have the potential? I think he does. All teams buy players that don't quite work out or fit. It's life. We have a decent squad now and if it's taken the purchases of players that don't fit then so be it.

Steve Parish is a smart Man and he obviously wants Pardew to succeed as we all do - even if I think he is doing a bad job right now.

I am sure with your in depth knowledge of running a football club, you would of been a great success and nobody would question anything you did!

Just said "very soon". More to the point, why is Parish going on radio once again now we've won a single game? Goes missing when we're out of form, as soon as we think we've turned the corner him and AP go doing stupid media interviews assuming we're mid-table all of a sudden. It always comes back to bite us on the arse. Just go about the job quietly and efficiently. Edited by We are goin up! (06 Dec 2016 11.35am) I agree with this - reminds me of how he was on the radio every other week during the first half of last season saying we were in contention for Europe. Pardew isn't out of the woods yet and Parish might still have a big decision to make very soon. I appreciate Parish as a chairman, and he's pretty good with the media generally, but he does get ahead of himself.
