Hull managed two shots on target in the whole thing and their attacking play was absolutely woeful. That was when they actually failed to give the ball away immediately when they got it out of their penalty area. Snodgrass was awful. Which probably means he'll have a blinder on Saturday known our luck

Both sides looked very poor, but then so did Swansea prior to us losing to them.

We've scored nearly 2 goals a game - and if we've stopped the defensive rot we're looking okay. Hull looked p1ss poor against a very mediocre Middlesborough with very few shots on goal and so it would be very discouraging if we came out complacent and unprepped and couldn't get another clean sheet. Pardew's tenure at Palace is going to need more than just one good game but last week against Southampton turned me back to him as he listened to his players and they showed their support for him. I'm hoping Pards will succeed but as they say, a week's a long time in politics...

Another clean sheet at Hull would really confirm the defensive improvement we saw yesterday. 0-0 would be fine with me. A win would be excellent but don't really expect that. Edited by rob1969 (04 Dec 2016 8.18pm) This is what I'm really hoping for, although the win is always welcome. If we can address our defensive record for a while, it will stand us in good stead in the long run. I think I'd be more worried if we won 4-3, honestly.

They managed to beat Southampton at home recently, but I suspect and sincerely hope that we can win at their place,as they seem to be struggling at the minute. This is a game we must win, as we have when we play all the others around us 1-0 would be fine!

I wouldn't accept a loss, especially if we concede a few. Pardew needs to prove he's actually turned things around. exactly, we should be confident at getting a result. as someone said earlier, forget transitions, lets go back to basics of what was working. people want points right now first and foremost.

According to Lawrenson, Hull looked woeful and had nothing to offer in a very poor game last night.

Hull can't cope against a team with shape like Borough last night or with being under pressure on the ball. If we sit back deep hoping to hit on the break that will be the only chance they will have of beating us. If we play higher up and tight they will definitely score nil. Just up to us to sneak a goal or two in reply.
