I haven't been on here due to the Anti-Pawdew stance Holmesdale.net overall has taken. Yes the stats are bad, but sometimes you need to back your manager. I am solely happy if we remain a premier league outfit.

Yesterday Was a great set up. 4-5-1 that changed to 3-5-2 on attack. Tomkins isn't a right back obviously, but when attacking having Dann in the centre of Delaney and Tomkins with Ward pushing up more and Townsend/Zaha taking up a more central role killed Southampton's possession play. Everyone played well yesterday, so did Sako when he came on. Great all round performance. Another 3 points against Hull please.

Such insight, positivity and optimism. You have no place on this forum!

Everybody wants Pards to do well but it just takes too long for him to see the blindingly obvious.

How he can have left Delaney out before he is fit and the best defender IMO must have cost us several points.

Certainly the most arrogant and now the stupidest manager.

Signed his own death warrant after the game.

I think Pards' comments to the media are often rather clumsy but who cares? Don't think you have to be a football expert though to understand that six defeats in a row and six wins in 2016 is a bit of a worry. Being a fickle fan I was firmly in the "Pards must go asap" camp walking away from the Liberty Stadium last Saturday as that performance was the worst defensive shambles I can remember watching and suggested that he and his coaching team did not have the ability to sort it out. As has been said, we have played better then we did yesterday and lost eg Burnley, but credit where credit is due, Pards has changed things and we looked defensively much better. He also deserves credit for turning us into a high scoring team when lack of goals was a real problem last season. I think the jury is still out on Pards though and he needs a result against Hull, but for me he has done enough to keep his job for now. Ok historically we are not a big club, and clubs of our size are never really established in the Prem, as a glance at the Championship table shows, but we have probably the best squad we have ever had, the funds to address its weaknesses in the next window, big money backing and prospect of a new stadium, so it is not delusional to expect to do better than we are doing.

not sure if one win is enough to sway my opinion that Pardew has lost our confidence.

Pulis (or even mourinho) play a much safer and tighter style, which is what we need right now. We have been playing attacking football and getting crucified for too long.

losing to Swansea did hurt a lot. They are rubbish.

lose to Hull and goodbye.

Why did we get a clean sheet?

If AP sticks with Delaney, who held this new defence line up together and he stops dropping Punscheon then we can get better and better

We had a real stroke of luck when their keeper miss kicked and Bentece was on hand but it ws a great tem effort, so roll on Hull and Man U

I have been a Pardew remainer but this win after a few tweaks comes too late. The fact that these changes that we ave all been screaming for worked, and have taken so long points out his failings. Hull will decide now. Still enjoying the win though. COYP.

Average Al would be more appropriate.

It took until last week doe me to decide he should go. It will take more than a win to change back.

Let's just enjoy the three points, as far as the manager goes, what will be will be.

"Average Al" could replace the "al ,Super Al , super Alan Pardew" chant.
Although I notice we were signing South Londons red and blue army and didnt mention Al once in the songs.

Fickle Palace fans, don't ya just love em.
6 defeats on the spin. Wins a game (that turned on a howler from their keeper) and suddenly he's 'Super Al'
If he WINS 6 on the spin I might just agree. until then I think I'll stick to my opinion he is close to the end of him reign.
