You were not pilloried for what you said but for the manner in which you said it because as usual it read as if you were in the know whereas at least this time you have included "I happen to believe" in your post so we all know that it's just a personal opinion that you are expressing

Starting with the Norwich season opener for 2015/2016 thru to last Saturday against Swansea the Palace stats are as follows taking into account ALL games against Premier League opposition only. P47 W14 D8 L25. So if you use the same scoring system as the PL that makes a total of 50 pts. Not brilliant but then again more points gained than games played which is not relegation form either. Consider where we were when Pardew took over and the fact we have much better players now then then I don't feel he deserves the sack, yet! Unfortunately, the Premierleague season is played over 38 games, not 47. From what you've given us, that is an average of about 1 point a game, which gives us about 38 points which can very easily get us relegated.

I agree. I thought he'd get to the Hull game , but after the way we lost to Swansea, that followed the embarrassing 2nd city goal and chucking the pint at Burnley, he could have gone last week.

Pretty much the only loyalty in football is from fans. The very occasional player (eg Gerrard, Le Tissier) stays at a club for their whole career, but 99.9% of players, managers and coaches would jump ship in a heartbeat if a better offer came along. Let's not forget Pardew touting himself for the England job when things were going well, or our "hero" Dougie f*cking off to Bolton when he thought they were a better prospect than Palace. To me loyalty to a club means wanting what's best for it, not blindly following a leader when they've clearly lost the plot. It's in the best interests of CPFC if Pardew goes (unless he oversees an immediate and unlikely change of fortunes) and it's not disloyal to make that known to the decision makers at the club. Well said Seth

All I will say is that I've never concluded that being "In the know" gave one any special status on such boards.

Pretty much agree, if anyone doubts it, look at Dougie, OK he had to feed his starving kids or summut but jumped at the first sign of pound notes

Not going to add any more as it will only encourage further such accusations. Edited by Willo (02 Dec 2016 6.14pm)

He made it sound like he wanted the best for the club and it wouldn't be right to sign until we were guaranteed to stay up, but who really knows what goes on in people's heads or behind the scenes? Point is, our loyalty should be to the club, not to any one individual, whoever they are. We've been let down by so many managers in the past - and I don't doubt for a moment if a bigger club or England came calling Pardew would be on his bike in a flash - to know that we'll still be here long after any player or manager has decided their loyalties lie elsewhere.

I understand what you are saying Seth , I thought the OP's point seemed to think we owe more loyalty to Pardew, I am just giving some point's that maybe he is not quite as loyal to Palace as the OP suggests so why do we owe him the loyalty. If he is pushed at any point perhaps his loyalty may come to fore when he says fair enough do not worry about the compo. We are stuck with Palace whatever happens , and proud of it.
