I remember walking out of the Southampton game a couple of years ago when the fans, for the first time as a whole, really turned on Warnock and thinking that has to be the end now. He went very quickly afterwards.

I remember the fans really turning on Burley at Millwall and he was gone within the hour.

As you say, the same happened with Holloway.

As a fan group which is generally quite forgiving and loyal, I think on the whole we are a lot more accurate than others clubs as to when the time is right. Generally once our fans on the whole make their feelings known, the club tends to feel the same.

The murmurings around Pardew a while ago which caused a bit of booing/drowning out in the crowd was probably an accurate indication then that there was pressure and he survived that one with a couple of results. It's getting to the point now that I think there's enough of a swell that, as others have said, the drum could stop on Saturday.

I disagree with some people's notion that the HF make the decision. On the whole, I think the fans are fairly in tune with one another. I can't remember the last time a manager had this much pressure, lost the next game and survived.

I agree. Parish is his own man and he is well aware of the fan's opinions as he looks in on the BBS and perhaps this forum too

I'm not sure what type of atmosphere there will be on a whole not just the HF. If they don't sing then it'll be very quiet and that will be the end I imagine.

I dont think any other fans in the country would have put up with the results for as long as we have.
Has been evident for months that Pardew is not up to the job, his tactics or lack of them, his substitutions and team formation has been iffy from the outset. He has turned a fairly solid defence into a shambles and a hard working unit into a team that gets walked all over at times. Cannot recall the HF ever turning on a Manager vocally but i actally hope they do Saturday and that the whole ground joins in. If Parish doesnt listen then he knows he will be inline for some justified stick too.

"Went for a drink with Keith"? Was that all it was? I think not, otherwise they wouldn't have gone to the HF pub for the group's 10th anniversary knees-up, stood on a chair draped in a fanatics flag and made a speech about how wonderful the ultras are!

Are you seriously trying to say this was just a quiet after-match drink and not an attempt to court a very influential fans' group? Never mind drama, if you think that you're seriously deluded.

Good post.

Interesting that the fans turned on Warnock after we played Southampton and it was after we beat them Pardew joined the HF for a pint. And who are tomorrow's opponents?

If we win tomorrow then he'll probably get a stay of execution, then when the next bad run inevitably comes Big Sam will have been snapped up by another ailing club and it'll be too late for the new man to get who we need in January.
