Wow, when you look at it like that it's depressing! I think pardew owes SP a win sat! SP has been very very loyal I'll give him that!

I am just asking the following questions to gauge the thinking and to perhaps provoke debate : 1. Do you think the 'Board' are actually considering alternatives to Pardew with a view to an imminent departure or are they going to give him more time to turn around our fortunes ? 2. Do you think the 'Board' wish to give him a few more games but still thinking about possible replacements if in their view Pardew's position becomes untenable after that period ? Edited by Willo (30 Nov 2016 10.21am) For me there ought to be a third question: 3. Do you think Pardew advised the board at the start of the season that he anticipated a relegation battle in his season of 'transition' and therefore they are more tolerant of him than if he had offered the earth?

Caveat: I don't ask the question above to either provoke Palace fans that aren't enjoying this, nor to excuse Pardew. I am just considering an answer as to why the board wouldn't knee jerk Pards straight out the door.

No, I don't think he would have used the words "Relegation battle". Maybe he talked about "Transition" adding that there might be a few lumps and bumps along the way but it would be "Alright on the night" ! At the moment we aren't in the relegation places, not cut adrift, there is only a 1/3 of the season gone and the 'Transfer Window' is not that far away so perhaps the 'Board' are NOT panicking just yet !!!!

Glory hunters at Palace? When we've got a record like that. Surely not?

As long as there is not mention of Clattenburg, I can agree with this train of thought Willo. I can't imagine that a "period of transition" would not have some danger of form loss/bad results attached and this must have been discussed. I can only assume AP justified the argument for transition by pointing out the poor results in the 2nd half of last season! I think they will give him a bit longer - whether fans want this or not.
Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes. |

With the Wickham injury and players off to the AFCON its vital the right person comes in before the transfer window. The right candidate is crucial in who we might be able to attract here. If benteke gets injured, run over , struck by lightening we have got big problems. I wouldn't mind parish waiting if it was because he is securing the right person. Time will tell depending who comes in as manager. What will piss me off is him waiting until after January to get rid of pardew as I believe him being there as manager during the transfer window will hurt us immensely . I haven't been one of the in or out camp . I have been on the fence but IF his time is up for Christ sake get on with it is my feeling Edited by Michaelawt85 (30 Nov 2016 9.57am) I thought we were going to get off lightly with just Sakospuds "out of Africa" but now with Wilf signing up (er, thanks a bunch Southgate!) we're doomed ... doomed I tell you.
