If you stick with him long enough he will take you on a little patch of good form and you will move up the table... Just enough to give himself some breathing space and keep him in a job and then things will return to what you are seeing right now.

The final year at Newcastle was just like what Palace fans are seeing now (except we got no cup run). At the end we went on a 5 game winning run and got back up to mid table which papered over the cracks (at least to outside observers). That little run of form just meant we had to put up with Pardew for even longer and then when we finally got rid of him there were all the comments about how unreasonable we'd been towards him because "you were 10th"... Well Palace were around 10th just a few games ago were they not ? Does that make your fans want to keep him despite the last years poor form ? Thought not.
