What Tosh. After watching Wilf week in week out there is no way i would have him in the England Squad. We get the odd bit of brillance but how many goals does he score? How many assists does he create?.How many times does he lose the ball or put in a cross that hits the first man? Would wager that most clubs think they have a player that should be playing for England.

So you're asking why he should be in the team, aside from statistically being the best English player with the most assists?

Good on him if true. Although not the best player in the world, he has come on leaps and bounds and with a good manager advises him I'm in no doubt he will improve further. Not that Ivory Coast will do much but what will he achieve with England except being berated by the press and probably will end up being a typical boring English winger.

Anyone who thinks Wilf shouldn't be in the England squad is deluded. The England team is crap and Wilf has been quality this season. What's worse is that I think he'll be gone within the next couple windows (provided he keeps up this consistency).

Good luck to him.
The England team has been a waste of time for years now with a succession of useless managers, As much as I like Gareth Southgate as an ex player of ours I honestly don't see him being succesful in the job.
Our media murders the England players whenever they can so why put up with that? Look at Victor Moses - it hasn't done him any harm to reject England has it?

The bad news is that we could now miss Wilf in January and he will be a massive miss.

On a separate note how can FIFA allow someone win full caps for 1 country and then just switch to another - that's crazy!

If Wilf played for England, 2 / possibly 3 good games or one good tournament from him & we wouldn't be able to keep hold of him, so if its true that he has chosen IC then maybe its a blessing in disguise (from a Palace perspective)

We may well have difficulty retaining his services in January, in any event, if Spurs come knocking again, especially if we continue our current form and look like relegation candidates.

If Wilf keeps up his performance, goals and assists then we can expect some big bids in Jan., especially if we're still struggling.

IC would be brilliant for his development and, if successful, his sale value for Palace. Losing him a while would be a pain up the arse but it would be a terrible decision to hold him back.

He always said HE had a decision to make between England and IC. Perhaps his absence wasn't the snub many assumed.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Needs to improve drastically in front of goal Last two games only had the goalie to beat at burnley and hit it straight at him and missed the target completely against city seems to have a rush of blood when opportunities arise maybe it's not our defence that should shoulder the total blame recently as center's has also had a few chance to score
