This could be said of any manager at our club in a similar situation by fans who conclude the visit to the 'Big Apple' is a "Jolly" without knowing the reasons he is there.

Very good !

Thinking of that classic Frank Sinatra song "New York, New York" I believe many supporters would be delighted if Pardew uttered the words of the opening lines "Keep spreading the news, I'm leaving today" !

No not saying a 'Jolly' just getting your priorities in the right order and his first is getting the team set up correctly and this is even more important when you are going through a bad run.

Bring back Brolin

In NY last week when players were away on International duty - not all of course but you need them on the training ground etc so it can be disruptive.Just because he is away for a good reason doesn't mean he cannot continue analysing games/opponents/players etc and be in contact with his coaching staff etc etc.We do live in a global communications world !

Pardew and Piers Morgan who has the biggest ego?

I think both were invited over by Trump to deflect the negative press about his womanising and racist comments.

Dont say that bubble wrap. I was on the understanding that if you mention Pardew and Womanising in the same message your computer would explode and Fleet Street would send a drone to take out your bunker.

Its ok if you mention Trump,Morgan,Pardew at the same time though Fleet Street cannot cope with all three and its their computers that explode.

It's OK as long as you don't include the word "injunction" in the sentence.

Lol what is this Jolly-gate? Courtside seats at the nba, hob nobbing with media luvvies like morgan bacon et al. Not crime of the century by any means, but he doesnt give of the air of a man under pressure, which considering his win percentagr in 2016 is 17pct i feel he should be a little more focussed on turning that round...

And for the record im not even anti pardew. Purely on the basis that i dont see any better options out there currently. However i would give him 5 games and expect to see significNt improvement. Without that i cant see how he can keep his job

Based on his comments after the Liverpool game that conceding from set pieces is "not us" he doesn't do any analysis at all.

I know it's only an interview etc and there aren't a pile of alternatives but that seriously smacks of a man who doesn't have his eye on the ball.
