Burnley are good at home. They've already beaten both Merseyside clubs and defend like their lives depend on it. If we lose this one, then the Pardew Out brigade will be crawling out of the woodwork in their droves.

As long as we compete and show true Palace team spirit, I do not mind a draw. Not the static first halves we have seen vs WBA, West Ham and Liverpool.

...and Bournemouth!

I constantly marvel at the way AP's smoke and mirrors bullsh1t seems to be like an infectious virus that clouds the mind of the normally rational human being. Reading your posts you (and others) are offering up the same tired and lame excuses for the same turgid and one dimensional football we are getting week in week out. We cant sustain pressure, we have no other option other than hit Benteke's head, we have lost the ability to defend simple set pieces, we can't keep posession of the ball in the last third, and as I mentioned before 5 wins in 32 games is relagation form. And yet after all this you still think AP is worth defending as a manager? I'll have some of what your smoking.

Big Sam is the man Steve parish should be pulling up tree's to get in before Christmas. Say what you like about him, but he is a scholar of the game, and a class on the pitch coach, with more experience of what it takes to stay in the prem than any other manager in the prem, with the exception of Pulis.

And I have to re-iterate, what other manager anywhere in the world would have a record of 5 wins in 32 matches and still have a job.

It's laughable that people think he will turn it around (and for the record I would love him to) but there is just no precedent of him being able to at all. His track record is as boom and (ultimately) bust as the 90's Stock Market.

Get rid now and give big Sam the reigns before it's to late.

We can't defend, we cant keep the ball, we struggle in the last third to build any pressure unless from a set piece, our play is slow and deliberate, so slow and deliberate that we made Wet Spam look like f***in Barca.

But don't let anything like facts ruin your opinion of Super Al, who as a player was criticised on the regs by pretty much everyone at Selhurst, until he scored a goal against Liverpool.

Ironic really that a goal scored 26 years ago, by us, could be the reason we get relegated.

He's also a complete tool. So I'd rather shoot myself in the head than see him in charge.

looking forward to a day out at turf moor of course we can go there and win. I think the way they set up actually will make for an even game like most prem games first goal will be vital. We must do better from corners but apparently we've been working all week on them. You would imagine Dann can deal with Vokes and hopefully Grays not back upto full speed and doesn't get down the left channel with a heavy footed and lop- sided Kelly. Our wingers should push them back if we play Townsend and hopefully punch a little closer to Benteke will Nick something I'm sure.
On Pards if your a stats man he's bang in trouble and his record previously does indicate he lacks the skills to turn us around. That said if you read between the lines he's never been at a club where he's had so much power (especially behind the scenes with infrastructure etc) also the signings of Benteke and mandala are massive coups that he must take some credit for) I also feel although we can't get a good performance for a whole 90 minutes Weve been "in" every game this season. Also some of the Football in the first half at Leicester and second half against Spurs was very promising against two excellent sides. That said defending first half against scallions and West Ham was school boy standard. My biggest problem last week with Pards was watching the interview with Lineker ( in which I thought he came across excellently) He's banging on about vision for the club, identity, the new palace way of keeping possession more. Then goes and matches Liverpool up with a negative formation and goes completely against our new supposed identity? Bizarre. Also blaming the ref at the end of the game to distract from our poor performance was just pure cringe and did smack of desperation. Maybe he's lost the players? Maybe he'll be gone by Jan? For what it's worth I think we'll beat Burnley, Nick a point at home to Chelsea and get something at Swansea. City's style will destroy us and I fear a drubbing so something from Lancs sat is essential. Cmon the palace.... Let's get a few fans up their too!!!!

So is Louis Suarez, are you telling me you wouldn't have him at Palace Either ?

If so you are a romantic fool, with no basis in reality what so ever.

Except he isn't really is he? They're both mid table Premier League managers and have been for years. The most recent success by big Sam at Sunderland is matched by what Pardew did when he took us over. He got us 10th from looking doomed FFS. He got us to a cup final.

Spoilt f*cking brats amongst our ranks.

Burnley have only lost 1 of their last 4 Home games and that was a narrow 1-0 defeat aganst Arsenal.

There has been talk of us not being good at defending set-pieces and I am advised that their centre-half Michael Keane is good in the air at set-plays.Vokes is also good in the air and between them could prove a handful for us at corners and free kicks.

There are also some "head in the sand" idiots who think Pardew is on a par with Allardyce as a manager.

And as for being mid table managers, the last time Allardyce had "his side" and wasn't lumped in at the deep end (to save a team from relegation he did so, on very limited resources in most cases) was back in his Bolton days where he assembled a team that played very attacking high tempo football, who constantly gave the premiership elite a bloody nose.

Big Sam forgets more about football by lunchtime than AP ever will know.

5 in 32. I notice none of people who clearly want to have AP's babies have grasped that particular nettle, rather take the piss out of people who can see him for what he is. Well two can play that game chum.
