Parish called him out over comments he made about Wilf a couple of months ago Hoof.
He didn't take it well....bald geordie c***

And therein lies the truth. SP made him look a little foolish on Twitter a month back.
Though he never gave Wilf credit before that either to be fair.

AS doesn't seem to like us - Danny Murphy was more fair. The problem with Zaha is that he goes down very easily. Mind you, even if the pens had been awarded we'd have probably missed them.

No he doesn't, he goes down when there's contact. Can you remember any time Wilf has been given a foul when he's continually trying to stay on his feet as he's being chipped at constantly be his two markers?
One was a stonewall penalty as was the Benteke challenge.

Actually do Palace have a penalty taker that can be relied on I think its a matter of who grabs the ball?

Saw Jedinak put a few away and Murray.

I would choose McArthur thats the kiss of death of course....

Apparently Townsend has never missed one but I would still give them to Benteke

West Ham and Liverpool are given special treatment by BBC/MOTD as regards fans behaviour.... Both club's fans would never get drunk, turn up without tickets, fight, throw coins or generally do anything naughty.

Singing Bubbles and YNWA typifies both clubs as community spirited, fun and friendly paragons of virtue in the minds of BBC/MOTD.

The thought of them throwing bottles at a Man Utd coach full of players or throwing a flare on the pitch?

Preposterous Hogwash!

But if you dont follow their team you get your head kicked in! If those flares had caused major injury you just know Palace/Police would have been at fault

I hate to say this but I think Hillsborough still lives strong in the mind and as a result no one dares say a bad word about the club or its fans (when actually warranted .. I realise a lot of what was written and said post Hillsborough was blatant grotesqe lies before we start debating it)

Nothing to hate there, it's the obvious truth. Liverpool weren't and will never be at fault. End of. Hence the "it's never your fault" chants.

We all know that the perceived big clubs, never get preferential treatment, but last season a clear dive by Benteke, a Liverpool player was unanimously declared an excellent piece of reffing by all the ex playing pundit fraternity. After watching 12 angles in super slo-mo and zooming in on Benteke's studs they were all happy that contact means foul and well done Liverpool.
Yesterday Wilf was knocked off balance and stumbled over the next defender, yes no contact there, but the original clip just outside the area caused the stumble, but no, he " went down to easily" (the latest meaningless mantra) so no foul apparently.
Second time clear foul, contact, trip, barge, all on Wilf in the area and so far only Danny Murphy has called it fairly. Clear penalty all day long and potentially the third equaliser of an enthralling game and then who knows what happens, especially if Cān walks, which IMO opinion he shouldn't, because not every foul is or should be a booking.
Thirdly the challenge on Benteke, the clearest of all the fouls to me, was a "clumsy" challenge, so clearly clumsy challenges are not fouls, no matter how badly you impede the player. The conspiracy theorist in me believes that two of these would of clearly been given against us, three at Anfield and all the "experts" and boy do I use that term lightly, would of sanctioned every one of them.
It really does seem that a foul on any other player in the league is not a foul on Wilf and for anyone who claims he goes looking for them, well that's his and every other tricky wingers job and he doesn't go down anywhere near as easily as old FFS.

Dangermouse, this is so true. I remember watching Lawrenson analysing the Benteke pen incident last season and he commented, it was a stonewall penalty without any question to be raised!!! Staggering.
Yet Saturday!
That said, I thought the second Zaha one he went down too easily, but compared to the little 'tap' Benteke got in last season!!!

... what

Alan Sheerer is about as interesting as the buffet at a gangbang, and for a man who's managed (or failed at Management) and played football all his life, seems to have a rather odd view of the rules and regulations.

Maybe he thinks its only a proper foul when you break their legs.
