Pardew is a busted flush the sooner the head in the sand mob see this the better we shall be. Pulis' West Brom have one fewer point and have conceded two goals less than us. That's despite beating us 1-0 already. Yesterday they conceded four goals at home with no reply. Grass is always greener my friend.

Grass is always greener my friend. We have a much better squad than West Brom, yet we still lost to them. They were playing Man City so dont be daft, lets see how we do against them. The grass is not always greener I know that but honestly has there been an improvement in style of play or results in general under AP ? The answer is no.

In my opinion, Delaney should start over him. I don't think Tomkins is very good at all. Not trying to find an excuse for yet another loss, but I have thought this for weeks, he is rubbish... I agree I think Damo is better than Tomkins,he may be a bit slower but he reads the game and anticipates danger well.He puts his body on the line as well and I think has a good understanding with Dann.I watch Tomkins at set pieces,he is all over the place and gets caught out ball watching instead of staying close to the opposition.

Both clubs are on 23pts having scored 24 goals....

Willo perhaps with your inside knowledge you know what the team talk/defensive instructions were. At hthe same time perhaps you can explain why int the 1st hals the Assistant missed a blatant ball that went our of play as he was only watching for offside, presumably as he could not comprehend that a Liverpool player would miss corthe incident

In my view Dann and Tomkins are similar type of centre back players Dammo is more the static stopper type. So when Dann is playing alongside Dammo he can be the more fluid defender. With Tomkins alongside both are fluid. They have not played much together and now need to sort out their rolls which can only come from training sessions and playing more games together. If they are to be our two centre backs then they had better sort themselves out quickly as we need to start picking up points especially against teams at our level.

I also believe Tomkins to be a good centre back. He has only played a few games and not been in a settled back line. He and Dann need to play together regularly to understand each others games. Damo really is not the answer and has also been well below previous seasons form as age has caught up with him now - alas. Liverpool cruelly exposed our shortcomings but they have done much the same to other teams already this season. Quick forwards with nimble feet, fluid movement, interchanging positions with ease are not what centre backs want to be dealing with. Arsenal and Manchester City will offer similar threats but the other sixteen teams will not.

Dann was at fault for 2nd and 4th and Tompkins for the 3rd so he was no worse than Dann
