Ward played well. Keeper made some solid saves. Jimmy Mac is really a striker - two excellent headed goals. Kelly improving. Zaha still dangerous. Townshend has attacking strength. Bentekeke always a threat. Puncheon looked fresh after his return. Team never gave up. Overall, I was quite impressed. OK we made mistakes, but what team wouldn't against the current L'pool side? I reckon we'll bounce back next w/e. Keep the faith. COYP!

We Hill now quote us as 750-1 to win the Premier League. Burnley are 2,000-1. On that basis, I predict a win at Turf Moor.

Easy for me - we didn't play well against the best Liverpool side in years and yet managed two goals and had at least one penalty shout turned down which would have put us back in contention. On a good day we could have taken points, not many teams will take points off Liverpool this season. I must say not having Bolasie took away a huge aspect of our game when under so much pressure - most noticeable today for me. There is a much bigger gap between a few of the top clubs vs mid table clubs this season compared to the last few seasons and I think One thing I will say is Alan Shearer is a C U N T. Couldn't even admit we deserved a penalty on MOTD.

Something has to be wrong somewhere. Our 1st halves are shocking - no spirit, no fighting, no nothing. Just slow-walking while the opposition cut thru midfield and defence like sharp knife in hot butter. Benteke and Zaha roaming round in nowhere-land. Liverpool's 1st much like the West Ham winner. Their left-back cross (where was Ward/Zaha?), a flick with no central defender or midfielder to protect and the ball end up in keeper's left corner. Don't even wanna mentioned Liverpool's 3rd goal - a free header inside the box just before halftime. We improve 2nd half, but why this slow-slow start of home games? Maybe we should try to play against Holmesdale in 1st half? Afraid we are bound to end up with the 2 certain relegate-candidates Hull & Sunderland. Was watching Burnley at Old Trafford before kick-off - we had none of those qualities in our side. Positives? Not many - Zaha (again), the goalie and....

We seem to keep going and get better as games go on. I would say this is a positive and if we could start with the same intensity we may actually win a game!
It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye! |

Liverpool were incredible yesterday, but we played well. Badly need to get our left back sorted out (Nothing Pards can do about that short term) and Benteke could do with a partner (That was to be Remy...) Even so I was enthused and excited. Should have had at least one penalty, but you get no decisions against the big teams. On another day with another ref it would have been possible to have got a point yesterday. So what... keep the faith.
