Stop. My sides are splitting.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I had my issues with him, like i do with every PM, but although i initially voted for John Major, and then voted for Blair, i regard him as the 3rd best post war PM behind atlee and Macmillan.
Look at his record: a thriving economy, good friday peace agreement, new schools , hospitals and healthcentres....everyone will slate him for the iraq war especially tribal tories but chilcot said there were 'mistakes' but he was defo not guilty of war crimes ( i read the findings v. Thoroughly) unlike Thatcher and the sinking of the Belgrano which was very clearly a war crime.
But Tony we dont need another referendum.....we may have an election ( as people always have the right to change their minds in a democracy) but do it through parliament

Belgrano was not a war crime. Most of the Argies don't think it was either. Not to mention the small point of the legal principle.

But I suppose I read too much mainstream media and a sheeple

Argies were told over a week before that Britain would not be limited to action within the 200 mile zone.

The Zone had no legal standing and (I believe) was advisory

Uk declared their zone of conflict of 200miles but never decalared 'war', therefore making it at best 'excusable' legally but 'intent' to send 200 sailors to their deaths is a war crime

Lots of conflicts happen without war being declared. That's nothing new.

The British government had notified the Argies that ANY military craft was fair game. That happened a week before and the Argentinian admiral at the time admitted that they knew what they were doing

You might find the sinking unpalatable but it was not a war crime.

Would that be the referendum based upon litany of lies told by both sides?Would this be the BREXIT victory as endorsed by general electorate without any idea as to what form and real consequences BREXIT would take...and without the main campaigning players who have all been relegated to the political backwaters?

Is there a single person anywhere on the planet, regardless of their political leanings, that doesn't think Tony Blair is a proper c***?

Despite my loathing of the man, his government did good things as well as the Iraq f*** up, I'm not sure wishing death on him is a good thing as others on here have suggested.

Regardless of political leanings we was elected 3 times to be prime minister of this country, during which time the country prospered and we didnt have a recession throughout his tenure. His detractors point to the Iraq war but the Chilcott inquiry exonerated him from accusations of lying and war crimes.
