I hope Puncheon gets the call. I won't forget what he did to them at the Gerrard show when we were supposed to lay down and die at the feet of the great one. He certainly pissed on their chips that day and it might be that he'll be the man to try to create something just behind the forwards down the middle.

When we lost to the Irons it was like looking at Wimbledon all over again - route one, looking for Big Ben. We need more guile to add to Benteke's threat. Punch, on song, can provide that.

If he plays, 2-1 Palace. If not 0-2 Liverpool.

I've just seen a Tweet that claims we haven't won a Premier League game without Puncheon since we returned to the league. Apparently played 11, drawn 3, lost 8. Honestly think he is a massively underrated player whose good work often goes under the radar due to the more visually exciting stuff we've seen from Bolasie and Zaha in that time.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

Yeah, look, with Liverpool in the form they are in, you have to say that it's entirely likely that they will win this. And, as many have pointed out, if we are slow off the blocks, it could be an embarrassing afternoon.

That said, I think it's also possible that with a daring that goes hand-in-hand with zero expectation and, consequently, a bright start, we could cause an upset. That's not to say that we will win - There's no doubt that Liverpool will be in charge for prolonged spells of the game. And we will need a bit of luck.

I'm going to predict that we go one up in the first half and that Liverpool draw level in the last ten minutes, having had a nerve-shredding lion share on the second half and countless chances.

Gulp!

0-3
Liverpool played mid-week, gives us a chance.
Punch unlikely to play, Dann coming back from injury, no chance.
Current form, no chance.

Would be very very happy if we get a draw.

Games like this, glad I'm not the manager, cannot imagine how we might set up to give us any hope.

Yer, but I support Palace and on days like this, on the odd occasion, something brilliant happens. Will this be the day!!

Palace 1-3 Liverpool.

I'm with you on this one.

Third successive defeat, second successive home defeat - HOL will be in a steaming bate with the 'Anti-Pardew' brigade out in force venting their spleens.

I'm not expecting us to get anything from this match. I think that Klopp is not far away from turning them into genuine title contenders so I would be delighted with a point.

Another Palace match of heroic failure. We will lose it late at the death, like last season, no doubt with more controversy, 0-1, Mane will score. Don't see us taking a pasting though but will put in a decent shift. COYP !!

Liverpool have improved massively under Klopp now, so a depressingly comfortable 0-2 win for the scousers for me!!
