Striking partners are a rarity these days, sadly. What club is brave enough in the Prem to it. Dying breed.However, we saw little Watford this season away to West Ham go 2 down, change to two up front and win 4-2 . Good call if you're losing and happy to take the gamble.

Hello my friends from Palace! I'm Joe and I run a Liverpool related news and discussion site called FOAR! [Link] We have a regular podcast on there called The FOARcast and I was hoping to feature respectful views from a Palace supporter in our next edition - which is happening tonight over Skype at 9pm CET. Would anyone be interested in participating? There will be the host which is me and three other LFC supporters who are regular contributors to the site. Wickham needs a run of games to hit any kind of form. He hasn't had that so would be a waste playing him from the start. He would draw players which might free up others but Prem players need to contribute more than that. Best we can hope for with him, if we need it, is a late-second-half sub.

Us playing two up top just doesn't work, unfortunately. Versus Liverpool we will be eaten alive if we don't have three in the middle of the park. We will just have to counter in this one unfortunately... one positive is Klopp's tactics will hopefully be less effective if Benteke wins everything in the air (with regards to their high press).

I recall the days of Keegan & Toshack, Warboys & Bannister, Quinn & Phillips and the 'SAS' of Shearer & Sutton. I really cannot see Benteke and Wickham hitting it off somehow.
