That was Messi and Suarez when Barcelona were out of sight. I bet if our lot did it when losing 1-0 your arse would be squeaking like a mouse trapped in a shoe-box. Especially given our recent penalty fluffage record.

back in the days of amatuers , Corinthians fc held their gentleman amateur status and their sense of fair play so far that if they got a penno they used to roll it to the oppos keeper ,as they thought it was an unfair advantage .

We should be known as Crystal Palace Corinthians from now on. Perhaps its our secret plan to get into the Europa Cup via the fair play league.

I do hate this description as some get missed and other get saved.

Man City didn't miss two penalties on Saturday, they had two saved. We , however, missed one as it wasn't on target.

I find this a bit annoying too, as I'd have thought saving a penalty is probably one of the key highlights of a keepers career. So having it put down to someone missing, rather than you actually pulling off the unusual and spectacular must be frustrating.

It'd be like describing every goal, as a failure of the defence or keeper.

I play 5 a side in goal and on the rare occasion that one pulls off a 'worldy' of a save, there's nothing more grating than hearing someone shout out "unlucky mate" as if i'm not there........hurrumph.
