Why? He committed an offence. Its not one rule for a HF member and another for the rest of us. If you act like a dick expect to get done for it.If the club start letting people get away with trying to get at players then it would be open house.

Agreed that he has to be as accountable as anyone else but the issue here is whether or not he had permission - I'd argue that if he did then this never would have ended up in court (unless someone has dropped a clanger and is now lying to protect their job). Total guesswork obviously.

That said, like it or not, the HF are more involved with the club than the "normal" fans like me. I'm not sure exactly how it works but do they not have regular meetings with the club and there is other involvement, not just rocking up for games and signing? Pretty sure I heard that they do and to be fair I should also point out I love what they do and hope it carries on for the foreseeable.

I suspect that, in this case, the club are making an example of him to show that the HF are no above the law. I hope that the HF take it on the chin and carry on with their good work and don't get in a huff.

I remember someone running on the pitch to give Jim Cannon a bottle of scotch. There was no internet in those days so there was no fuss made about it.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Brilliant!
I was at Plough Lane eons ago when Big Jim came running back to make a tackle, missed, and ran in to the fencing. Some comedian close to me shouts "want a fag Jim?" His face was priceless

I maintain my stance. No issues with them at all. I do wish they wouldn't refer to themselves as Ultras though. Seeing 40 kids in black run away from West Ham is not exactly 'Ultra' material but still, they are good for the club.

I would have thought that if it was official it would have been done at half time along with everything else, as entering the field of play is a criminal offence ( i think) post Taylor report. Btw i realise yala wouldnt have been able to receive it personnaly at half time.

sounds like bollocks to me... if he was given permission, the club and stewards would have known about it and the gift exchanged with a steward present.

Especially if it was a corn dolly of Bolasie made entirely out of pubic hair. Not saying it was, don't start any rumours.

If he's lying and his reasons aren't backed up, then a banning order is fair enough, given he's wasted the courts time.

I'd imagine its fairly easy to prove one way or the other, as someone would have to provide evidence of his permission to legally enter the area.

On reflection, you are correct along with a few others on here. It could be a dangerous scenario if he was a nutter having a pop. Lets hope it all get sorted in the proper manor, with no bullsh*t involved.
