I suspect that if the results in the next 4 games are favourable, Southgate will be given the job.

I think you're right. He might surprise us and lead England to win the next World Cup ... but I sincerely doubt it!

Sadly, I think you're right. They'll go with Southgate if he wins four of the five

Malta
Slovenia
Scotland
Spain (Friendly).
Lithuania.

In truth, anyone who can't get results from those four shouldn't be allowed out without a carer.

Its almost as if he doesn't want the job. Still, it'd be harder to lose the next four England competitive games than win them.
