This post has been merged from a topic called 'Pardew bookies favourite for next England Manager' by james03 Apparently more managers are going to be in the papers regarding this investigation in to corruption. So who knows, maybe Pards will be embroiled in it to... FA will be know where near him if he is?

Look at his 'history', are the FA really going to take such a chance? I know they are a bit dim but ... "a bit dim" is an understatement mate. Second favourite is Steve Bruce which says it all really.

I'd rather he stayed personally, but if he does go, I hope we bring big sam in, would be the safest pair of hands imo

I would be more than happy for AP to get the Eng job, has all the right credentials,,,, A man who has 10 paragraphs worth of 'Controversies' on Wikipedia, multiple superinjunctions, failure specialist having not one a single thing in 20 years. We would be fine this season under the guidance of someone like Hodgson whilst we search for proper long term manager for next season onwards. Pardew will fail miserably for England and deserves to fail in order to bring his ego back down to reality. Hodgson??? Could get Benteke taking the corners... Seriously though, you think Hodgson would motivate our players? And who would our search lead us to? Just a few suggestions please?

I would definitely care,we are an established Premier League club, just been to a cup final and currently sit in 7th position. Realistically for a club of our size what more do people expect?

I'd rather Pardew stayed, continuity and all that but those of you saying our league position is down to him, we beat teams we should be beating! The test, as far as I'm concerned, will be Everton. The only test we've had so far was Spurs away. We should have beaten West Brom and Bournemouth at home and didn't. Middlesbrough and Sunderland were games we should have had a good chance of winning and Stoke we should have won and did. By my estimation we are 5 points shy of where we should be, he didn't sign adequate cover in defence. We lost 2 CB in the summer and got 1 in return. People are blinded by our come back on Saturday rather than seeing what a cock up our defence was when we went 2 down. I'm not slagging him off just stating what I think the truth is. I'd prefer him to stay but let's not make him out to be a miracle worker. We've improved but he got us off to a bad start.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Pardew bookies favourite for next England Manager' by james03 OK Pards has dropped to 3rd favourite. Southgate is favourite (I guess because he's been appointed temp manager), but how the f*** can Steve Bruce be 2nd favourite?

I guess we should definitely be Champions League at the end of the season too - if not Pardew out? Edited by ASCPFC (27 Sep 2016 9.47pm)
