We've been scraping the player barrel for years. Look at Holloway & Pulis signings or attempts at getting a sh*t player to sign. We're now paying & selling players for millions & millions. Cheer the f*ck up.

Its only a bit of fun, if you didn't want to contribute to the thread then don't. Where a player brought in for 30m or a free transfer, they can still be considered bad signings. There was a lot of criticism of pardew signings especially last season.

Why is it not in Fun Talk then? It looks like yet another anti-Pardew thread, no need for it. I've probably contributed more to your own thread than you have.

How is this anti pardew thread. If you read my first post in this thread. I said we had a great window. I don't have a problem with pardew. If it was a negative, I would of said worst buy. Football about opinions and everyone entitled to one.

Dan89 probably means since pardew been at the club, rather than a moan at pardew.

Best: resigning wilf permanently after loan
Worst: Adebayor (expected more from him)

Andy Johnson Magic, He wears a Magic Hat
When he Sees the match ball, he says he having that
He scores one with left foot, he scores one with his right

Best: mandanda/cabaye (cabaye i feel had such an impact on last season)
worst: mutch, while not the worst player signed he was the worst player put on the pitch regularly and always a crop.

I seriously can't think of any permanent buys that have been awful but McCarthy is probably the worst. Quite impressive really if he was sold for the same amount we paid for him.

I'm not sure if Adebayor was a loan or a signing, if the latter then he turned out to poor for the wages he was on. He wasn't a bad player, far from it, but I had expected a few goals from him.

Mutch was a decent squad player at the time.

I think Mandanda will be Pardews best signing although I hope it will be Benteke.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Sanogo was unfairly derided in my opinion, you have to remember the position the club was in at the time, we were hardly an inviting prospect for top strikers and I'm sure the deals had to be rushed that January with Pardew just coming in. Sanogo done a job for us, scored 1 goal I think and knocked in a couple that were ruled out for very close offside calls.
