Could prove a "Snip" at £10 Mill. I think it was on HOL that I stated that he could be a sensation in the Championship and that could be the 'Springboard' for better things in the PL.

I just need Dwight to stay fit and keep doing what he's doing. I had £100 on him at 9/1 at the start of the season to finish Championship top scorer.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Yeah, and I suppose you'll also tell us that you invented the internal combustion engine and discovered penicillin as well.....

Good luck to him. Great to see him happy and playing well. I liked him when he played for us, was always annoyed he wasn't used me and utterly perplexed when he was sold.

As i have said before they know more than we do so i would hazard a guess that just being a good finnisher isnt enough at prem level. However as he is now playing a level down he appears to be shining at the moment. Mind you if he was as good as a lot of you on here think we might well be FA cup holders. Great chance and f&cked it.

Newxastle and Norwich still leaking goals but entertaining stuff! Murray and Gayle are where they are effective so good.

No he's more likely to have shared a rail carriage with the inventors on his way to Wembley for the Cup Final in 1923 where he stroked the mane of the white horse..........

I don't think anyone ever said that he wouldn't do very well at Newcastle. He's in a team which can play 2 up front and still dominate midfield because they have players like Jonjo Shelvey in there up against pretty average players. Cup games have shown us that Dwight Gayle + another forward v Championship defenders who generally aren't as quick = a lot of goals. Palace can't play 4 in midfield and still create a lot of chances, nor do we line up against Championship defenders. Square peg in a round hole and I still believe it was a good move for all parties - Gayle, Newcastle and Palace.
