The role he is playing for us now gives him the freedom to really express his talents. On his rising performances in a Palace shirt he is surely due an England call up. The guy is oozing class. Pardew is building something really special for us. Long may it continue.

I don't have a word to describe how superb I think Townsend is right now.

all this bollix people have been spouting about how him cutting inside and shooting has been found out and won't work any more. It doesn't matter whether you know what he is going to do or not, he's quick on the turn and can find the corners of the net. You could tell yesterday that he wanted to score and he had the confidence to know that if he kept on trying one of them would go in.

I love the fact that Townsend waited until he was right in front of us in the Holmesdale to score. Fantastic goal and he was the 2nd best player on the pitch.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

I don't really care - had money on both him and Dann to score

I dont want to have a pop at the departed but when Yannick was in that position the Upper Holmesdale got ready to duck. Superb goal by a superb player. A fantastic signing

If you were that confident you should have lumped your life savings on him to score anytime with the bookies. THAT my friend.... is when to feel smug.
