Back in the early 80's when in my late teens i would have regular family holidays to the Algarve close to Cliffs villa (not THAT close). Mentioned by quite a few ex-pats living there, his penchant for Morrocan lads. Never sure if there was any truth in it or just 80's banter.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Probably just jealousy of his millionaire lifestyle, although he has always been keen on ball games by all accounts, tennis !!

13 people looking at it at for a year, maybe. 23 years is ridiculous and the costs involved must be unimaginable. And there's two people in jail serving time for it. Working on it now but the file has been closed and reopened quite a few times. If the Police had of carried out their duties properly first time around it would have been done and dusted within 12 months of the murder. Everyone knew who did it and it took some planted evididence to put two of them away. Now something else has popped up.

Latest As I understand it, Sir cliff, or just Cliff Richard has no cautions, charges or convictions against him. If you google "Harry Webb", you will see that at least one FOI (freedom of information request) has been made to Surrey police, and been refused. I know ex-coppers who did stuff for Surrey Police. This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I hope he wins I think it disgusting that someone who has not yet been arrested let alone charged or found guilty has their reputation shredded by the media on the whim of some copper. We have to find a middle ground between protecting the falsely accused and justice for the victims. My preference would be that responsibility for naming suspects is taken away from the police. Instead if the police believe there are other victims and that publicity will bring them out they should argue this with a judge who can then decide on the public interest argument.

If Cliff was 'another religion' you can bet your last pork chop this wouldn't even be news.

Well, they are a bit late on the game because the Police already had to fork out 400, 000 to Richard. Surely it would have come out then. If someone has something factual then they have little to worry about. If they have smears or unproven stuff then that's not going to work. Edited by Stirlingsays (13 Apr 2018 5.13pm)

Unfortunate choice of words by Gloria "Sir Cliff Richard felt "violated and betrayed" by BBC coverage of a police search of his flat, TV and radio presenter Gloria Hunniford has said" Not really an appropriate word to use when describing Sir cliff, is it Gloria ? (no doubt embellishing his claim for maximum damages.) [ libellous comment removed by moderator ] Edited by Midlands Eagle (17 Apr 2018 5.20pm)

You know this is libellous don't you? The BBC and SYP don't have a leg to stand on. The SYP defence of saying the BBC forced it into co-operation is a joke, they should have told the BBC we will prosecute you if you run this story before we have executed the search warrant. Dan Johnson needs to be sacked as does SYP's head of media. [ libellous comment in quote removed ] Edited by Midlands Eagle (17 Apr 2018 5.21pm)
