Why do they need to go around with their faces covered if they've done nothing wrong? Unfortunately since we got promoted we seem to be seeing more of this.

Faces covered??? .....Says it all I am afraid. The pictures DO SHOW they have their faces covered so is NOT a non story but actual proof. They should be banned from our club if they find out who the "kids" are.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

I really don't know what law they are breaking by having their faces covered. If they do something wrong arrest them then you can take the scarf off and identify the person. If they aren't doing anything wrong then they should be free to wear what they want and keep their faces covered. Seems a bit daft to me but then again I am old. Has it really come to the stage in the UK that the police can determine what clothes people can or cannot wear?

People are unsure of why the HF cover their faces? No one else remember when the police made up a pack of lies about Liam Melody that the Adder happily printed and it turned out to be total bollocks? Seems to me if you're a member of the HF then you're liable to be dragged to the magistrates, lied about and smeared and have libel printed about you in the local rag all just for being part of a group of active singers. So can you really not understand why they cover their faces?

Like anything the true story isn't clear. I can categorically confirm that when approaching the ground with my boy a load of boro chavs were chanting about the fanatics (nothing about palace) basically calling for a fight. 'Fcuk off the holmesdale' was one chant. Now, to me this was unprovoked but for all I know there may have been some trouble earlier in the game. After the game the fanatics had a police escort to the station. There were some minor scuffles but nothing major. Put it this way, I had my six year old with me. Had I thought he was in danger I'd have held back but it wasn't awful by any means. The fanatics immediately after the game and on the concourse weren't spoiling for any fights, there just wasn't that atmosphere. I get the 'they don't help themselves' comment with their dress but Jesus, is that what it's going to come to, that we advise fans what to wear. I also saw no faces covered up amongst them, but again that was a snap shot in time. They're no angels but there wasn't anything outrageous from what I saw yesterday. I second all of this, also as someone there. Possibly even more disappointing than the childish writing are the comments from some on here so ready to damn people based on nothing more than their own prejudices. As for dress. I saw an a number of northerners dressed head to two in black, all seriously tooled up - but that's the police for you.
