Gotta laugh. "A few years ago we did some drawings, no crayons or nothing, but the council have ignored them even though we never showed them to them. I just don't get it. Man and boy I have been wall, man and boy. Proud of our knuckledragging history I am." Edited by moylerg (09 Sep 2016 7.39pm)

The council could save Millwall fans by building a Police Station, Magistrates court, DHSS, Wetherspoons and battered women's shelter. Don't forget a greggs and a Sunday market

Having read further about this can someone explain something. Why if it's the land around it are Millwall saying they will have to move to Kent. Is this while flats are built or permanently and if permanently then why?

Is this while flats are built or permanently and if permanently then why? I think their argument is that it impacts on the local businesses that form part of the community of the club and - more importantly - has an impact on the functioning of the club's academy. But basically they're saying they will have to move to emotionally blackmail the council into reversing their decision.

Not that that they have to or will be moving anywhere, but if they did move to somewhere in the Medways their fans would at least be able to support a local team for a change.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I don’t understand. Why would they be forced to move if the land AROUND the stadium is sold? If councillors seek Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs) on the plots, then sell them to Renewal, what’s built will be out of the club’s control. Wait a sec... who’s in charge of Renewal? The private land developers’ chief executive is former Lewisham officer Mustaq Malik - an old colleague of the current Lewisham chief executive Barry Quirk. But who owns Renewal? Ah, now that remains a mystery. Journalist Barney Ronay, who has pursued the story tirelessly over the past year, reports that ‘there is no evidence Renewal has ever carried out a major development project’.

sounds like a right shambles. Question marks over whether the planned development has its £2m funding from Sport England.
