Never mind naughty words, as a literal translation he's William the Conqueror. Not quite. Guillaume le Conquerant would be the literal translation. Not that I know the difference between conquering and vanquishing. Never done much of either sadly. Good name though. Edited by Ginger Pubic Wig (18 Aug 2016 11.47am)

Any more news on Vainqueur? Someone should feed Wilf, Townsend and Benteke from the midfield, Cabaye will not be enough alone to collect the balls. I hope, MacArthur is coming back soon and a DM is definitely needed as a replacement of the Jedi. I like Ledley, but... Thanks!

Pardew mentioned in the press conference this morning that a major player would need to come in to replace the warrier Jedi. So hopefully CPFC2010, will seek to bring in a really good DM, whether that's Vainceur, or whoever. I cant believe we would have the spare cash to bring Sissiko in?

In advanced talks with hamburg. I suspect we might decide to rely on McCarthur and Ledley as our DMs this season, and switch our focus to a second striker (eg Remy?) another wide player (Burke?) and maybe an attacking midfielder, and/or defender?

Don't think we need another holding midfielder if I'm honest. Ledley,Csbsye and Macca and Ward could play there in an emergency. Remy and an attacking midfielder plus winger would see us move up the table.

Very amusing from someone living in Wisbech "Wisbech, I came pretty close to sliding into depression" I’m astonished that this nightmare of a town has only been mentioned a couple of times. I’m guessing this is because none of the residents know what the internet is yet and the majority of those who have escaped are still too traumatised to speak about their visit. If you ever wondered if England had an area inhabited by our equivalent of American trailer trash red-necks then you’ve obviously not been to Wisbech. Wisbech’s red-necks didn’t get their colour by working hard though, oh no, their sunburned colour comes from sitting around the town’s market square comparing trainers and their latest benefit stream generator (baby to the rest of us) with their mates.

Competition for a possible Jedi replacement? Since we have Ledley and McCarthur already, it might be that we prioritise an attacking midffielder, or given that Lee is doing quite well in that position, and we already have Mutch, the next move actually might be for a second striker (Remy?) and another wideplayer (Burke, etc?)
