So it seems like as long as Parish and Pards don't spend all the dollar on cars and whores then there's plenty out there within budget to improve the squad.

Why can't they just get some of these deals done!!

I'd probably chase players who had absolutely no interest in coming here - big name types.
I'd put in media bids to keep fans happy with whoever was doing slightly well in recent European competitions - I wouldn't care too much if they came off - I would just want to keep the oiks on tenterhooks.
I certainly would not match the agents' fees, bonuses or wages anybody was looking for - just because I'm a difficult person too.
On transfer deadline day, I'd get in a couple of loanees and uninteresting frees whilst I would sell whatever I could manage to get away with from current squad.
All my deals would look big but would actually be swaps or funded from other deals.
