Mark Lazarus was in the team for my first game v Brentford, back in the sixties.
He invented the dive.

I remember Colin Taylor... my old man and I used to call him 'Tree Trunk Thighs'.

Sad to say I can't remember my first Palace game but I do remember standing on the grassy bank (with a few crash barriers) that was there before the AW was built.

I also remember my old man always bunged the turnstile guys a tanner (I think it was) to look the other way while he lifted me over the turnstile! Would have been mid 60s.

That team's got a very familiar ring to it for sure.

Started going in 1983 and I think that was most of the first Palace team I remember watching

Think mine would be very similar. Started regularly watching in 1984 at the beginning of the Steve Coppell era

I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like.

Palace 0-1 Barnsley 12th August 1997

Won tickets in a free kick competition at school, which was incredible cause I was (and am still) totally crap at football. Neil Redfearn scored for Barnsley. I can remember the goal being a screamer from outside the box, but then again I was 8 years old so if anyone can actually remember it I'd be interested to know what really happened!

Ah, yes. Billy Ashcroft and Graham Whittle. Seems like only a few years ago. The 2-4 to us at The Racecourse was sheer epic football and the biggest game i regret never having seen.
