Except that the new tv deal has levelled the playing field considerably. Maybe considerably yes but not completely . There is still a limit to what we will pay which I would say is some way south of 100K ,Top 4 teams are now looking at paying 200K + so we have some way to go before we see that field levelled . I really do hope we can pick up a decent striker to compliment what we have . It will though have to be a punt on an unproven rather than an established premier player .

I'm not sure of the numbers but I think we could pick up £30 million more than last season in tv money alone, I think even the relegated clubs now get £100 million.

There was a report today on the net (HICT Sport or something like that?) sorry, don't know how to put the link up, that Palace are in talks with City to sign Bony (AS WELL AS) Benteke since 'Evertons interest has cooled in him'

Looks to me as niasse and benteke, will be the only strikers we bring in this window.

I think the major problem with buying both Benteke and Bony is can we give all 3 strikers enough game time?.Neither Bony or Benteke will want to be Bench players (and we do not have finances to do that)I also don't think Wickham will accept being no 3 striker and will ask for a move. So in my view 1 of Benteke, Bony, Wickham no 2 and a loan or lower league player as no 3. Anderson as No 4. Campbell sell, Lapado loan, Appiah Sell

Maybe Wickham will be sold on to make space for 2 new proven strikers. I like Wickham but if there is an upgrade to be made then that's what the club will do. Edited by europalace (10 Aug 2016 11.07am)

But allowingfor form, matchfitness and injuries, 3 decent strikers seems the minimum required in the PL? Maybe a better match would be Benteke, Wickham and Robson-Kanu, who could double as a winger/striker? No point in having 3 excellent strikers, one of which at least would be getting very frustrated at not getting game time? But when you factor in cup competitions etc maybe there's enough games to go round?
