for you maybe west ham I'll let you off. Stoke? times are changing. most clubs can pay the same wage's as premises clubs. most players would rather play in London over stoke. irrespective of time spent in the premises over us or cup success 300 years ago. I'd deem palace above stoke as this are right now. or Def on par. but certainly not beneath anymore. or were you referring to 4 years ago ?

Stoke are an established mid table side in a modern stadium who played in Europe five years ago whilst we have struggled against relegation in all of our three seasons in the top flight and the less said about our stadium the better. I've no idea where this nonsense of players queuing up to sign for us as we are in London comes from as Berahino is said to prefer Stoke to us and it wasn't that long ago that we were desperate to sign Gylfi Sigurđsson but he preferred the glamour of Swansea to that of SE25

West Ham may be moving onto a different level for various reasons but I don’t think saying Palace are on roughly the same level as them & Stoke, in terms of who we can recruit is too fanciful.

scored 16 goals last season in Turkey. His last season in the Premier League he scored 10 goals. He might be alright for a year as a stop gap - until we FIND the striker we really need. Edited by Palace_Guard (06 Aug 2016 10.22pm)

If its Balotelli I'll let you don the boxing gloves. In relation to Van Persie do we really wish to be looking again for the "right" striker ? Personally I would of hoped that we would of moved on from the issues of Jan this year and in this transfer window with more choice we can get somebody over the line, which I still believe we will.

A little worried if thats the case though. Especially of Wickham gets injured.
