Can have Murray on a free, 30k week wage. Much rather him than Adebayor. Also lets not forgot after Murray got the 30 goals in one season for us, he didn't play again with the same setup Bolasie and Zaha and him attacking. Now we have Zaha back he would do a better job than Adebayor and less than half the wages. No brainer

I like to suggest a third alternative, which is having neither.

Bexley Dave

Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing!

See above and add "suggestion" to the end.

Most certainly not European.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Him not being able to get in the Bournemouth team is a valid point but not a point to completely close an argument.

After all Bolasie couldn't get in the Bristol City team...

Palace have always got players who are not fitting in so well at other clubs and making them fit well at palace. Murray is better than a lot of the strikers we have got and have had in the last few seasons.

Murray may have struggled at Bournemouth, but he suits our strengths. He hasn't lost it, his strengths are his intelligence and finishing. You don't lose those. He may have lost half a yard of pace, but he doesn't use speed so that's irrelevant. He would be a success once again.

You can't seriously be suggesting we go into next season with Glenn Murray as our main striker just because he scored 30 goals for us in THE CHAMPIONSHIP a few seasons ago?
Absolutely ridiculous idea. We need to be STRENGTHENING the team not taking back old players from the past (no matter how good they were)
We did well getting what we got for Murray & we need to move on. I'm sure Murray will find a club in the championship.

He scored 7 goals for us last year despite only playing half a season. Wickham will likely play sporadically again next year due to injuries. I would hope we'd also bring in another striker to compete as well.

And the club made it clear they wanted to keep him, and he made it clear he was looking to move for regular first team football. The offer for him was a good one, and he wanted to go.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Pardew told him he was down the pecking order. The same thing nearly happened with Jedinak to Stoke, but luckily he's still here. There was no fall out or bad blood. Maybe Murray wouldn't agree without more assurances over playing time, but if we can re-sign him I can only see it as a good thing. Signing Murray doesn't mean we can't sign any other strikers on top.

I'd rather have Muzza on the bench than Campbell

He's failed to make the starting line-up for Brighton away to the mighty Burton Albion today.
